A quick run-through of some of the most basic mechanics in MTG to help people who enjoy my content understand the game a little bit better. This is by no means a complete guide so if you are a veteran and want to throw out some pro tips for anyone who may stumble into the comment section, feel free to drop your knowledge.
p.s. players have 20 life. I can't believe I forgot to mention that.

I feel like you could have highlighted the Trample mechanic and what it did a bit better.
For those who don't know, when a creature with a lot of Power is blocked by a creature with lower Toughness, the excess damage does not normally go through to the player.
Trample allows the excess damage to go past the blocking Creature and hit the target behind it.
The Green color in MTG has lots and lots of cards that either have Trample or can give a Creature Trample, so while you might have encountered Trample a lot, this is not normal for every color.
I don't think you mentioned Planeswalkers either, although I'm not sure if you have encountered any yet.
The best way to describe them is they are like enchantments that can be attacked directly.
Planeswalkers have at least one activated ability that uses a resource called Loyalty counters.
These Loyalty counters are added or removed when you activate one of their abilities.
When a Planeswalker has lost all of its Loyalty counters, it is destroyed.
If you want to destroy an opponent's Planeswalker, you can try to attack the Planeswalker instead of the player.
Blocking still happens like normal, and if the Planeswalker is hit, they lose a number of Loyalty counters equal to the damage they took.
