Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker presented a $6.3 billion budget on Thursday that includes funding for more police officers, improvements to the Streets department and more funding for SEPTA.

🙄🙄🙄 I’m a City worker and I can’t afford to live in the city where I’m forced to live, I shouldn’t have to work 2 jobs to make ends meet, everyone thinks that city workers make sooooo much money, bringing home barely $1100 every two weeks is not enough my mortgage is more than one of my checks, no clear plan on a living wage for us as usual

You need to increase your skill set. She said she will be working on helping city workers up skill. It’s up you to forge a living wage not the governments responsibility. They are required to provide opportunity not money.

@@DB247. First of all any job or company that you work for should pay a decent living wage at minimum, as city employees we are not paid a decent living wage. It’s not government assistance 😒😒😒🙄

Talk That Talk mayor Cheryl Parker make it easier for people that trying to upkeep their homes what One Stop Shop excellent idea and concept! And yes a lot of times when we seek out those home repair services the contractors that are doing it act as if we do not deserve to get our infrastructure in our homes to fix
