This is excellent! Been to London a few times from Australia and never knew this existed...but no social media info in the vid description as promised!
the Tamworth pig is actually a native Irish bred swine. imported into England the early 19th century by the first sir Robert peel to his estate in Tamworth. mainly because of its unique ability to thrive on grass forage alone without any grain or additional input.
Stunned! I expect anything in London but never a farm. Not that I have heard of one near or in Mill Hill at the Grandparents homestead. What a great institution. Love it. Fab for kids. Thanks Will for bringing awareness to this. And thanks Tom for taking us around. It was interesting to hear you (Tom) exported a pig to Japan last year. I tried to import a sheep breed last year from the UK to the continent where I currently live….it was such a pain with mentioning of quarantine (lots of Brexit related stuff) before they even left the country but due to the lack of facilities in Kent not possible. What a head ache. Hope it will be an easier process again some day soon. Keep up the good work x
Wonderful visit, Will. We have something similar here in my city where the local university has a section or two of land where they have grain farming as well as raising livestock. One of my favourite walking spots and green areas in the city. Thank you, Will and thank you to Tom for showing off MudShoot Farm.
What a WONDERFUL place (and video, Will). Makes me want to go to London for Mudchute (and Battersea Home for Animals). Fascinating animals, loved the different breeds. Will, please follow up on the gender(s) of the Norfolk triplets!
Great to see a farm in the middle of London. Great to see someone keeping so many rare breeds. Tom has a great knowledge of all the breed's he keeps.
He’s doing great things
Never new and what a great idea. Now that is city planning.
