    Sir at 38 mins the t min has come out to be 10mm, in that case the dia will also change as per the unwins formula, please let me know if I am correct.

      no bro the unwin's formula only relates diameter of rivet and thickness of (MAIN PLATE)min. only and the thickness of that main plate should be greater than 8mm

    Sir design part ke question me aap lap joint,single Cover butt joint aur double cover butt joint hi liye..
    Sir ye 3 hi case har design ke question me assume Krna h yaa iske alawe jaise ki double riveted lap joint, single riveted single cover butt ya phir double riveted double cover butt joint
    Sir kya ye sb joint assume nhi Krna h ????

      Ye sare joints basically 3 joints k hi part hain. To jb lap joint assume kroge to usi me koi 1 condition assume kar k design karoge, fir agar butt joint assume karoge to single cover or double cover dono hi case assume karoge, usme single riveted hi design me prefer karna chahiye kyuki single ka jo stregth hoga usi tarah double ka b niklega. Isliye sirf 3 case hi lete hain

    = ke baad Rivet value me 2 ka multiply hoga na sir when we find pitch ??
    My logic - per pitch me 2 rivet aayengi

      Yes you are correct dear, jaldi jaldi me chut gya tha likhna, but answer 1 baar verify kar lena shayad 2 se multiply kar k answer likhe hain, bas 2 x likhna bhul gye honge

    Please solve this question. A steel plate having a thk of 16 mm is connected to another plate of 12 mm thk of 60 mm. find the strength and efficiency of the joint.

    60 mm is a gauge distance because its length is perpendicular to load direction

      Minimum pitch ka formula hai 2.5 x nominal dia of rivet. Ye calculate kar k jitna aae usko round figure me convert kar do, kyuki pitch hamesha minimum se minimum possible hona chahiye. So if your calculation say min pitch = 54/55 mm you can take pitch as 55/60/65 mm as per your wish. Hope that answers your question😊.       Nahi, kisi kisi book me 9t/8 likha hai jo galat hai, cover plate thickness hamesha 5t/8 hota hai.

      Riveted Connection ka concepts IS 800 1984 me given hai, but formula usme bhi nahi given hai

      Convert 72.61 kN into N by multiplying by 1000. Then solve it you will get efficiency = 50.41%

      Strength of plate = minimum of Shearing Bearing & Tearing hota hai. Ab concept samjho, agar question me Pitch ya width of plate diya rahta to tearing Strength tum nikal lete minimum of three me se, lekin pitch nahi diya question me or bola ki khud nikalo. To pitch agar jyada le liye to tearing strength waise hi jyada ho jata to minimum bearing wala hi ho jata answer. To isliye hmlog jitna bhi strength ab tk minimum mila hai usse equate kar denge to Unknown pitch mil jaega. Wahi kiye hain to Pitch (S) mil gya. Fir aage pitch ka kinimum criteria se check wagerah kar k final strength tearing me calculate kar liye. I hope isse clear ho jana chahiye.

      Sabhi me galat nahi hai, but yes, I admit during lockdown timely lectures provide karne ki jaldi me kuch mistakes hue hain but numerical part me, theory concept apko kahin wrong nahi milenge, hopefully🤞🏻. Plus i am again starting video lectures on youtube on all subjects of civil engineering, i hope wo jb aap dekhenge to wapas sari cheeze clear ho jaengi.

      If you will try to solve the equation you will get S = 64.80 mm, so you cannot exceed this value else your strength of joint will change then whole numerical will have to be solved again. Therefore we choose S < 64.8 mm, so in round figures there is 60 mm which is close to the answer, therefore, S= 60 mm. Hope this clear your doubt.
