I would say the value proposition is still STRONG, after all how much is that X6 when you add all the items that come STANDARD on the GV80? I always hate when base price to base price is compared, it's very disengenious when the equipment spread between those two base models is VAST.

@@viacheslavkrasin3119 Lmao Genesis has the best reliabilty for a luxury brand after Lexus and maybe Acura/Infiniti. Their 4.6l V8, 5.0l V8, 3.8l V6, and 3.3TT V6 have been reliable so far. Same with their 6 and 8 speed transmissions. They never got plagued with Hyundais poor reliability.
BMW still has tacky dual LCD screens with massive bezels instead of the crispy and thinner bezel single panel OLED of Genesis. They also look ugly as a sin. I test drove newer BMWs and Genesis and people only cared to turn heads and ask about the Genesis at gas stations and in grocery parking lots lol. Might as well drive a Pontiac Astek instead of a new BMW 💀. And given how horribly unreliable and expensive BMWs are to keep long term they are the last car I'd buy.

Please stop using LCD as a blanket term for every screen. This uses OLED for the 27" display, it's an entirely different (self-emissive vs backlit) display technology. The Cadillac Escalade also has OLED displays, though it seems the IQ and ICE refresh are going back to LCD for the massive 55" combined display. I also believe the Q6 E-Tron and new A5 will also use OLED for the 14.5" infotainment display.

I think Genesis is doing it right so far. You just get so much bang for the buck than all of its rivals. The only issue I have is Genesis needs more dealerships in the US as you cannot have any service done at a Hyundai/Kia dealership unless that dealership happens to have a Genesis dealership attached to it. I have a 2022 GV70 Sport Prestige which I love so much but driving 8hrs round trip to have any service performed is a bit much. I would totally consider buying a GV80 Coupe but maybe if my city gets a dealership nearby.

Genesis used to lead in the tech department, but sadly, they are falling back; not having wireless Android Auto is just sad (even if it may come in a future update), plus no built-in dash-cam! Now, even Lexus has wireless AA and a built-in dashcam, and that is not even mentioning the german cars. Add to that the fuel economy is not near most of the competition with less horsepower.
    .
Still, it's a lovely car for the first generation SUV from Genesis, but when comparing it with the competition, it becomes difficult to recommend.
