- Stop doing hanging leg raises like this if you want abs -
I mean you can, but let me show you whats happening, then a better way!
From the side, you can see that I’m doing a lot of rocking motion.
If this is you, you’re just getting a lot of momentum and no real engagement!
To build up the control, go back to hanging knee raises! Make sure you minimum the rocking!
Once you get stronger, go back to hanging leg raises.
And if you feel that’s too easy, try toe bar taps with control!
What ever you do…
You're exactly right!. And remember that - contrary what everybody thinks - those with bent knees are a m-u-c-h better abs workout than those with straight or nearly straight legs, because the bent ones c-o-n-t-r-a-c-t the abs mnore!.
all in the technique and intention!
@Digital_Sorcerer - Irrelevant ignorance
The perfect loop doesn't exis-
finally. I knew someone would appreciate it!
YO FIA
I mean that was some clean shit!
tf are yall talking about💀
@@amh4677RUclips must have changed how shorts are displayed since
These are so tough for me man! You're right though, it's wasted effort just rocking.
exactly!!!
Hold tension in your biceps while doing the raises. Prevents the swinging. Albeit a bit of a advanced move I guess.
You’re right because I did my first set like that moving forward doing more of them.
Underrated tip
Yes I notice if you use your biceps you don’t swing as much
Bruh this tip is godly. Did 8 without swinging as much as before. Felt way better. Thank you!!!
@@savathunjf18 awesome! Glad I could help.
How is this a Short? I’ve been watching it for 10 minutes and it’s still going.
😂😂😂😂
You should get that memory checked
its a perfect loop lmao.
Im been watching this for like, 23 minutes and i realized this short is in a loop
Excellent demonstration Jeremy thank you so much 🙏👍
Personally, I find supinated grip very helpful in preventing the rocking motion thereby allowing for a greater stability and in turn muscle engagement.
These never fail to burn my core. Good vid!!
bro this was really helpful saved me like 15 mins of tryna find out how to do it in like 3 seconds
Ok thank you for the tip.
I was mos def doing lot of momentum.
aww yea - you know the secret now!
I do them really slow ( for better core engagement ) since i've watched this video and i got really nice abs now
Nice loop
finally - someone saw it ;)
Thanks mate! This helps!
Appreciate the vid👌🏻
Improvement:
A little pull up to a half pull-up and then perform the exercise at full body tension. Of course, you can only do this if you are able to stay in this position for a longer time.
Should I do the leg raises while I'm half way to the top of a pull up
@@shrottefjay Yes, then perform the exercise in this moment of tension. For me, it is not important whether this happens halfway up or with only slightly bent arms. I've just found that it's best to have a little tension in your body for the leg raises. This way I can perform the movement in a much more controlled and slower way. I find the standard leg raises with the arms unhinged rather wobbly, so that the constant focus on the abdomen is not maintained.
Thay loop was on point bro! As a DJ this was satisfying. I was like wait this is the longest short I ever watched 😅 Great stuff 🙌🏾
This is what I was looking for like why am o rocking so much
I do both.
Bro has good finger grip strength
Toebar taps is the goal!!
Thanks 🙏 ❤
Tysm, was helpful af
Thank you
Bro thanks ❤😊
Best fucking loop I've ever witnessed 😮... And thanks for the tips aha
Wild swinging could wreck your back too
thanks
No I’m not stopping it works🗣
How to minimise rocking ?
slow, contracted and control and slow
all you need is to bind a rope or cushion behind your back.
Why don't you lock your knees out throughout the exercise as well?
for me personally - I got super tight hamstrings, I can't lock them out at the top, unless its a good day :P
If doing it fast, maybe I can have some back issues?
My lower back always pops while doing these lol
oh whooaaa - i dont think thats normal
Is it train the entire abs group?
The upper, lower and oblique?
My shoulders hurt when I do anytype of this exercise 🥺🥺
You need to strengthen your rotator cuffs, look up for exercises
I CANT DO IT I HAVE SUCH A WEAK CORE
I pull myself up and hold my arms, then pull my legs up. 10 times. Is ur way more effective?
My upper thigh and my back is fukin hurth when first time i try doing full leg raise not like this but in normal way on the ground 😂, and in that moment for a sec i thought i cant walk anymore and thats fukin scary af 😂. and i stop doing that maybe until my weight go down a bit or my body lil bit stronger now im on 106kg/172cm 😂. This help me so much ty sir.
Sry for rip english hope u understand 😂.
Yo I’m really surprised that he admitted 50 might be his brother …he definitely matured ..
Do that DNA this been the rumor since I was a kid lmao
Gutes Video
Fantom FTM 😂😮
Hahaha this video is made for me 😂
watch how Bruce Lee eliminated the rocking
“Whatever you do …” what?!?! Tell us!!!!!
is hanging ab raises effective? I see a lot of people saying that it isn’t as effective if u can’t go to the bar
It’s the most effective - it’ll let you know in real time how strong your core is!
Leg raises doesn’t even target the abs
How to get backpain 😅
U need lotion on those bows my
Guy lol
Let’s goo
Can anyone really really vouch for these? I’ve done this in the past but they were never a staple exercise for my routines. I always see dudes like this guy doing them lol. No offense!
At the very least these are a great exercise for spine decompression
