“My best friend is about to have a baby so that means I’m about to have a baby.” Aww, I love this sentiment. Yes! You are about to have a baby! You better be over there helping this new mama! It takes a village 💙
Ssssoooo…. Drenching in that color was an epic choice. It shows like a selection she would’ve come to herself, as I kept thinking how it even complimented her skin tone and hair beautifully! Iconic job! 💫✨⭐️❤️
My husband has been on switch and outlet duty for weeks now, replacing them all. We’ve been slowly renovating the entire house and ultimately decided to replace things like dingy outlets and outlet covers, old crusty dusty vent covers, cleaning or replacing door hinges and updating door knobs. It really makes a huge difference. It can be done affordably by replacing in stages or one room at a time.
Sorry everyone, we had to re upload this video (the incorrect edit went up) thank you so much for watching and engaging once more. Since most of my following is from the US, the cost falls just under $1000. For my Canadian friends just over, but there are defiantly some items that can be budgeted and swapped out depending on your needs. Thanks again always for your views and support ❤
I love this video! Remodeling a normal-sized room for a regular Joe and the breakdown of budget and vibe was fantastic. If possible, it would be amazing to see more of these when the opportunity arises. Stellar job for an attainable budget.
Really enjoyed the simplicity of this sort of project. I have a tiny under-stairs powder room I'll be remodeling soon and this gave me some helpful ideas (and a nudge to go all in on the color drench).
Beautiful transformation and super fun video to see the interaction with your friend! Best to her and her hubby (and you lol) with the arrival of the little one! Love the Leviton switches (we used those in our kitchen remodel) - I was waiting to hear that you installed dimmers though, so that they could adjust the light level for nighttime diaper changes… just a thought! We pushed for dimmers on all the lights in our recent primary bath remodel and really appreciate the ability to adjust (even if we’re not changing diapers anymore!).
OMG, Phoenix - you and your bestie are so sweet! Thanks for this video, thanks for the generousity of both of you being vulnerable, videoing this! Many blessings for a newbie coming into our world - may the circle of support be strong (even beyond the renovation). Don't get me wrong - aesthetics are so important but practically is paramount (so thanks for the consideration about nappies, budget, volunteer projects, other baby-things).
I NEEDED this. I have a full bathroom that was originally a children's bathroom (the sunk and toilet are straight out of the dwarves' home in Snow White) that I need to re-do. I like the drawers in the vanity. Drawers > cabinets almost always (and my husband is a pipefitter that can move the plumbing-thanks for the tip!). Great video as always.
Hello, You don’t know how much I appreciate this. I am trying to transform my bathroom including master. When you spoke about ikea me and my family loved the bathroom functional units. However, we weren’t sure about how the quality of ikea products ?. Thank you also for sharing info on the plumbing details as well. Does the sink and vanity top is of good grade?
They’ve really upgraded their products and quality, especially with their bathroom and kitchen items. 🙏🏼 I would have liked a larger surface for the vanity top, but since this is just a powder room it wasn’t as needed.
@ mrphoenixgrey what material sink is appropriate for a bathroom? How deep should the sink be in order to help no spilling/dripping what around the sink?
Will somebody please tell your friend how important it is to have nice bright colors so your kid can actually see them. Do not do that to your baby. They need the stimulation. Please don’t do the sad baby stuff. Please for the sake of your child. at least make the babies room bright and colorful. Your rest of the house can be as boring as you want, but think of your child.
There’s a secret to using the right lighting with the lumens and kelvin rating to reduce this! I’ll explain with another video in better detail and show the reflection of light in a space
I know she’s kind of kidding, but this lady seems like she’s not really into having a kid. She’s not willing to give up anything for this child. I don’t know, I’m getting bad vibes here. I hope she changes her attitude once the baby actually gets here. Start putting the kids needs ahead of your own.
Absolutely! I should have specified we did this while she was away to make sure there was very little to no VOC left by the time she came back home. We had fans going like crazy to vent it out 🤍

I’m so here and ready for it! She’s the sweetest human being, going to have to do an update now that she’s arrived 🤍🤍

Yes!! That’s the easiest way to make an impact in a space. One of those small things that you interact with every single day
Oh she is in for a massive shock , her house is never going to be the same again after the baby arrives 😊 blessings to them

Thank you so much! We want to turn this into a series where followers can send in photos and questions and I can help do a breakdown :)
Sweet gift, Phoenix. And it was so nice to see you in a more . . . casual? 'at home' . . . with a friend than the formal of your normal setting
Trying some new formats for some upcoming videos so you can see the real me :)
The green on your coat is really wow. I need that green in my life!
Thank you! Trying to wear more colors :)
I like that you didn't spent time showing us the physical part but you explained the choices you made ❤
Wow, you have a prettiest friend ever!
Isn’t she an absolute angel 🤍
I like the way you managed to separate the toilet from the vanity by use of the cabinet.❤
I really love the brown and walnut combo
Timeless 😉
Greenge, I love it. I’ll use it ❤

Big Bravo my friend. Your going to be an Uncle. Cheers
Love from Ottawa

I found a $250 delta sink fixture for $60 bucks at a Restore... I almost died 🤭 You bet I snagged it for our future bathroom reno.

I would have painted the ceiling as well. If you're gonna colour drench, colour drench :P This colour is delicious though.
Thank you 😊
Am I blind? I see the ceiling in the same shade
I want a friend like you when I grow up to help me :)
Your green jacket is 'UH' 😘
Congratulations!! 🥰 (Design Daddy, we never get to see your profile. BTW you have a classic nose.)
Grinch color!
Just in time for Christmas
The new Mommy is stunning and Design Daddy to BE is stunning ❤️ !
Awe thank you so much for watching, and the kind words 🤍

I don't know about green in a bathroom. It makes skin tones look off when looking in the mirror.

C'mon. This is a design video. Relax.
Be careful about *VOC* when pregnant, about to have a baby or with young ones. Just sayin'.
