My Family in Puerto Rico have Tile all over there bathroom every wall to the ceiling is tiled it's looks beautiful also the tiles never ever in 50 yrs of visiting crack or mold up because the tile workers are so good! They have the process pat down! The tiles are all from Italy my grandmother had them shipped to her long ago and there a cut above the rest obviously now it wouldn't be cost effective to do that but the bathroom is modern looking to this day She obviously had an eye for classy style that would never go out of style! I love that because she in heaven now and when I visit I feel her touch is everywhere in her beautiful beach house!

Hi Jack! Amazing craftsmanship and design! Thanks so much for sharing that with us. It's wonderful how design can transcend time when done well. Your grandma sounds like she had a great eye and you're so fortunate to have that beach house as a lovely reminder of her (and her fabulous style!).

How feasable is it to replace a standard bathtub with an curbless shower? We are retiring and want to make our 1925 condo as assessible as possible. The bathroom is very small, but it is on the ground floor with full basement access underneath. Thanks, enjoying your videos!

Thank you - we're so glad you found us! You can definitely remove a standard bathtub and add a curbless shower. For a project like that, most of the cost comes from waterproofing the new shower area, moving the drain if needed, and the shower enclosure. It's a very common request in bathroom remodeling to remove the bathtub and replace it with a shower, and it's a really sensible choice if you're interesting in aging in place in your home. You may also want to consider adding a blocking in the wall with grab bars for future use, if needed. And a niche in that wall would be a pretty design feature. We hope this helps!
