The Federal government needs to take a lead from Australia and build a fund to kickstart lithium, nickel and graphite projects and innovative mid-stream cathode and anode plants. If you build out the ecosystem the battery and then auto oems will follow providing generational job opportunities for Canadians.
The Ford Electric F150 Top Trim with the included Vehicle 2 Load/Home system and the extra inverter is very interesting but may require substantial electrical upgrades to use it for the whole home/business. It also won't be Grid ready, just for power failure or load shifting. It would be interesting to see how the truck's battery performs.
Interesting times ahead John. It will take a while for wide adoption of V2G but it appears it will be critical to accommodate more renewables on the grid.
Hey Tim. I am from open energy lab Canada. We make lithium free Zinc ion batteries. I would love to connect with u sometime to talk about the future of batteries
Average Canadians where I live need to go hunting and ice fishing quading and snow mobiling. This is done regularly. To sell to this population we have to realize their needs are real.
Certainly. The biggest challenge I can think of is the range reduction when pulling a trailer long distances. Otherwise, with bi-directional charging, you could keep your ice hut warm and make fresh coffee while you're at it.

The Chinese have already started using sodium ions in cars.

Sure thing Mukund. That would be great.
My law: people who do not understand Moore’s Law should not quote Moore’s Law.
Cool
