My husband listens to these videos day and night. He left his $10,000 / month job and works day and night building a business that can make him $5000 a day on good days. He was so good at his old job he was offered 2 other positions. I wanted to be a supportive wife and told him he was making the right decision even tho i didnt know if it was true. The imposter syndrome and feeling guilty for being successful is a such a struggle amongst black people😭 I grappled with it for many years, so much so that I'd make myself smaller and underlay my achievements no matter how great they were. When I graduated with my Masters degree at the age of 44 just 3 years ago in 2019, absolutely none of my maternal family congratulated me except my mom and her siblings. I was fearful of success for many years because I felt I had an unfair advantage since childhood, even I'd always been a bookworm since childhood and I probably studied harder and read more than them, I valued the pursuit of knowledge, wisdom and understanding since I was in Sunday School. So I learnt from others and then simply practiced the principles. But no more will I shrink myself, in the name of Christ! I have come out of the bondage of my family's approval since the 2020 lockdowns, which gave me the time and space to reconnect with myself, my God and my God-given assignment. Glory to God! 🙌🏿
Yes!! We dumb ourselves down, feel guilty as false humility. If I pay the price to be greater, I can be that and not feel bad because others didn't want to do it. Family are the most jealous and unsupportive people.

The reason why that will never happen is because America has a system. That system teaches us to go to work get into debt and live the remainder of our lives “getting” out of it. We are not taught financial freedom because of that.

There were internship programs that I would have not known it existed if I wasn't working there. This was supposed to help high school seniors and/or college freshman to explore the opportunities they didn't know existed. Instead Senior execs and VPs were enrolling their kids for the paid internship jobs. kids from low income families applied to fast food bc the program was filled.
Had me at the very moment “Your job is you first business partner “ was said . I’ve read more books this year in my whole life for the first time on personal development and finances . I have never been told to go to work for 40 years and retire. I think this "mantra" has been overused in wealth-building scenarios. Yet, I must admit, these people know what they are doing, so it must hit an emotion that helps people grow. I understand that to build wealth, you must shift your mind from becoming a consumer to a producer. You must access the inventory of your capabilities. Some people can leave their jobs and be successful, but I think most of us still need a job (business partner) to help fund the journey toward wealth. “Your job is your first business partner“ statement helps bring peace to my soul as I travel this journey. "Somebody is waiting for you to provide them the information/knowledge that you already know" - paraphrased - statement provides me the courage to get on social media and start talking/writing. Great interview, If I was asked what 3 principles I would include 1. Understanding your RELATIONSHIP with money 2. Writing down how you plan to spend your money and discussing your plans with a spouse, accountant or someone you can trust. Someone who catch those blind spots and 3. Educating yourself on how to create PASSIVE income. If you're a landlord and still have to change toilets and paint walls that's not passive income that's working for yourself and as you get older you will BURN OUT. With all this "pure and usefull math" -- why did I waste so much time in the "myth" education system on algebra, geometry, calculus, differential equations, and other never-to-be-used-unless-I-teach-it courses? I will DEFINITELY share this video with my Bible class.
It's only not useful if you don't intend to pursue a STEM degree. It was useful for me and my career path. I think the issue is that finance etc isn't taught at all. They'll give you sex education but not financial education. It's definitely a trap.
Thank you Rodman for your comment! I am teaching STEM awareness to young people so they will have that technical expertise to create a product so they sell it to secure their financial freedom. Also, the fact that you can figure out how many items you can purchase in the dollar store with $20 is from algebra. So all is not wasted!!

Great info. However, being a licensed agent for over 23 years, I have to correct some of the erroneous information regarding life insurance. 1. If a whole life policy is overfunded, it will be converted into a Modified Endowed Contract which then will lose the tax advantages and protection. 2. If you take a loan against the cash reserve in a whole life policy, if you do not pay it back and you die, the amount that is still in arrears will be deducted from the policy face amount. 3. In regards to the Catholic mass having an insurance policy on it’s tithing members, there has to exist an insurable interest between the policy owner and the insured. Once again, great info, but we have to make sure that we are sharing correct information…especially when it comes to how life insurance works. Yes, life insurance can be a great financial vehicle if done correctly.
I’m sorry however that is an incorrect correction. For example, policy being overfunded does not make it a MEC as long as you continue to fund it for 7 years. Also if a person has a loan and they die, of course it will be subtracted from the death benefit
@@ThrivingMoney the insurance company will look at the amounts being paid in and make that determination with the 7 Pay Rule. There are other policies available if a person is trying to grow their cash reserve quicker than overfunding a typical whole life policy.

With all this "pure and usefull math" -- why did I waste so much time in the "myth" education system on algebra, geometry, calculus, differential equations, and other never-to-be-used-unless-I-teach-it courses? I will DEFINITELY share this video with my Bible class.

It's only not useful if you don't intend to pursue a STEM degree. It was useful for me and my career path. I think the issue is that finance etc isn't taught at all. They'll give you sex education but not financial education. It's definitely a trap.
Thank you Rodman for your comment! I am teaching STEM awareness to young people so they will have that technical expertise to create a product so they sell it to secure their financial freedom. Also, the fact that you can figure out how many items you can purchase in the dollar store with $20 is from algebra. So all is not wasted!!

Great info. However, being a licensed agent for over 23 years, I have to correct some of the erroneous information regarding life insurance. 1. If a whole life policy is overfunded, it will be converted into a Modified Endowed Contract which then will lose the tax advantages and protection. 2. If you take a loan against the cash reserve in a whole life policy, if you do not pay it back and you die, the amount that is still in arrears will be deducted from the policy face amount. 3. In regards to the Catholic mass having an insurance policy on it’s tithing members, there has to exist an insurable interest between the policy owner and the insured. Once again, great info, but we have to make sure that we are sharing correct information…especially when it comes to how life insurance works. Yes, life insurance can be a great financial vehicle if done correctly.
I’m sorry however that is an incorrect correction. For example, policy being overfunded does not make it a MEC as long as you continue to fund it for 7 years. Also if a person has a loan and they die, of course it will be subtracted from the death benefit
@@ThrivingMoney if it is being overfunded and does not pass the 7 Pay rule, yes, it will be converted to a MEC.
@@ThrivingMoney the insurance company will look at the amounts being paid in and make that determination with the 7 Pay Rule. There are other policies available if a person is trying to grow their cash reserve quicker than overfunding a typical whole life policy.
@@TamelaBowieInteriors we will have to disagree. The very idea of a load up addition rider is so that you can put more into the cash value “overfund”

At first I was kind of skeptical to watch this video. After an hour of listening the points really started to sink in. This is like the second time I heard saving money will make you lose money, which is why it’s so important to invest it. I’m not into real estate but I do like the point of selling a book rather than providing a service. So many 💎 gems. Financial literacy is the key to wealth!
I own a cleaning service and I must say there has to be an easier way to weatlh. But where do I find someone to help me write a book or ebook?
A book doesn't make money. Anyone who sells books already has an established market who buys whatever they suggest.

@8:16 I love the fact the dude "Employed Millionaire" is adding some needed balance in the space of making money online and being an entrepreneur, by highlighting ALL the benefits of having a job and using that to LEVERAGE your goals to BECOME an entrepreneur. There's so many EXTREME views floating around, making people LEAVE their jobs too soon too quick before their business is ABLE to replace their income. True entrepreneur mindset is NEVER rash or irrational.
