yes. It is basically exact because of a tidal lock. Moons of other planets do that too. The moons Io, Ganymede, Europa, and Callisto are all in tidal lock with Jupiter.

I know... wrong scale, wrong lighting, the reflection... we could go on. Nevertheless it beautifully communicates natural realities that dwell in frustrated obscurity. Most people haven't a clue, and I don't think we're better for that.
As is, this clip is already great! If I were a teacher I'd certainly use it in my classes, so obviously neither of us "needs" you to incorporate another lesson. ...But if you have the models and are playing with the software anyway, why not?

For visualizing the synchronization of the moon's rotation and orbit (or why we never see the other side of the moon) this is the best animation I've ever seen! How difficult would it be for you to create and post a slower version of this, revised to also show the Earth spinning (27.32166 times per moon orbit) on its axis?

Very nice image. But why is the Earth not rotating? Does anyone know what the music is?? I love it! :-)

The Earth is not rotating?! Hm...

Actually I didn't care if it were planets or just rotating objects... (the earth isn't rotating and the scales aren't correct) but anyway, why do you need this? ;)

This is all wrong, we only see one side of the moon. You have the moon spinning too fast.
