This is the first time I have stayed in a bothy, and I was extremely impressed with the facilities. Thank you MBA!
I worked with the MBA team putting the slates on the roof in September 1972. We took slates from the ruin of Black Laggan across the glen. During the work we stayed at the Back Hill of Bush bothy. There was no forest at the time, but a bulldozer was carving out the track.
went to the bothy in 94,it was lovely to wake up in after a night of whisky and log fires
I've never seen inside an actual bothy, nice upload.
It looks positively posh from when I used to stay there in the late 70's! There was a ladder to the upstairs soon as you entered and that overlooked the sitting/fire area. Boy did that fire used to smoke the building out!. Some wonderful boozy nights there with fellow scouts, motorcyclists and other walkers. Used to get the bus to New Galloway and walk in from there! Must get back sometime.
I'm going wild camping up in Galloway Forest in March and I had no idea these even existed! I can't wait. And it looks so beautiful, do you mind me asking what time of year this was? You mentioned it being quite cold so I'm guessing it was early in the year. I need to work out how insane I am for wanting to go in March. Great video, thanks! x

is this jus a random place that people can stay at? im going to galloway next week so ill kepp an eye out for it
