The best of luck to you in 2022! 🍀 I really like watching your videos although they make me miss swimming even more. I live in Germany and since I don't want to get the vaccine I am not allowed into any pools for months now, not even with a negative test certificate 😢
Im glad I have more swim content to enjoy. Although I have a question. What do I need to do to drop mass amount of time in a year. I'm a junior and I want to swim in college. My times are ok but my solution currently shove yards down. Is that right?
Swimming back and forth just for yards will get you very little. You need to give more information. What's your concentration? Sprinter? IMer? Distance? Mid distance? Whatever event(s) you're working towards will make a HUGE difference in how you train.
@@purselmer5931 yeah I should've been more specific. I'm around 5'11 140 I have a 58 in 100 fly,1 min flat in 100 back i can go 23 for the 50,and last night I had a 5:38 in the 500. If that helps. I know for sure I need to hit the weight room
@@paytonwilliamson3316 Ok, I'm gonna assume you're a male. Sounds like, right now at least, you're a sprinter. You're 50 (free? - 25 yards?) is good but your 500 isn't as good. You are right about the weight room for sure - gotta get stronger, eat right b/c that really helps. You need to get more specific about which event/stroke you really wanna concentrate on. If you'd like to drop the 500, that training is much different than if you wanna be a sprinter. Which do you prefer? If you only have a year, pick something then talk to your coach, find videos and lazer concentrate on that one thing. I mean, eat, swim and sleep it. Don't forget your studies, but swimming has to be a very close #2 priority. It's intense, I've done it. You just have to make the decision to do the work and no distractions. Good luck to you!
@@purselmer5931 thanks and you did the dangerous step of assuming right lol. But ill see what I can do to convince my coach. Personally I'd like to be able to swim whatever I can In college. Whatever that could possibly be. Although fly is something I'd like for sure

@@jihair2356 That is very good advice and you sound like you are well on your way. Congrats to you. I would only add that you should never forget how much you love the sport. B/c when your entire body is aching from a 10,000+ meter workout, you'll need to remind yourself - often! LOL, good luck and keep up the good work!
@@purselmer5931 Thank you i try to do the things well in this sport, i started very late so i have many years to catch up And yes we need to love the sport, for my part i started to swim for curing my depression, i was at the edge of the suicide then i had a revelation, i wanted to swim and finally doing a thing i like and thats worked! I can say now the pool is my best friend so thats why i love this sport and trust me the pain you feel in the pool is nothing compared to mental depression/ being feel alone or some shit stuff like that Thank for your comment buddy i wish the same for you!
Dude, why don’t you just get vaccinated? It’s so entitled of you to think that, even though you passed the COVID tests, you should still be the exception to the rules that businesses have put in place. It’s not that big of an inconvenience. Do it for others, if not yourself.
@@karaabrams3151 aight, nah i understand that, i'm jus tryna understand, why would you not want to take the covid vax when that's the most prevalent disease around? again, not tryna attack, just tryna understand.
Michael, I am a fan, however as a role model for kids, adults and aspiring swimmers you should show your support of this country and our leaders and get yourself vaccinated. Dont be Aaron Rodgers!
As a role model, he should do what he thinks is right. Just because you disagree doesn't mean any of you are wrong about it. As an American, he's using his rights and not complying. Inspirational if you ask me.
Stay strong under the pressure of not getting vaccinated it’s greatly appreciated from the few of us that don’t want the vaccine. Having someone at your level is openly not vaccinated help us all that are not unvaccinated and are trying to got to high level meets.
Sorry about the craziness you have to endure because of your personal choice regarding YOUR body. Frankly, I don't know how at your young age you were able to handle the negative press at the Olympics. Champions are those that won't sacrifice their convictions to " go along" no matter what happens at worlds..you have already won.
Good luck man and go TEAM USA 🇺🇸
As someone who is really healthy and probably does not have anything to fear from the vaccine why just not get vaccinated?
Would love to hear more about your Olympic experience. You have such an interesting story. Oh...and best of luck for this champs.
Can you please do a stretching video before and after your training?
Lekker to see you back! All the best for the meet!
Way to go Andrew! We support all your views my man!! I really liked the stretching scenes and warm up....I need to incorporate more of that.
man its been a serious minute, but ty for uploading, appreiate it :)

religious views might be the reason
@@rubyzlan all major religions encourage vaccination. Tbh it’s quite dumb considering how important his lung health is.

not taking the covid vax doesn’t mean someone’s anti-vax :|
There’s zero nuance anymore. According to most people if you don’t get the vaccine you’re anti-vax. Cynical don’t you think.
