Just for my perfectionism sake, red nav light goes to the left, green to the right. I love your vids NJ, I am very new to the game but watching your channel has already made me learn so much. Thank you!
The last time I measure, ropes were too heavy so I usually avoid using them for decoration. Considering that water in Stormworks gives only 1/10 buoyancy of real world, if we take 1 mass = 1 kg because character is 50 mass.
You could stop the heli rocking around in the water by placing control fins on the floats, no input. They create extra drag against the water which can stop the shaking
1 mass should be 1 kg because when I build a realistic 1:1 scale airplane, its mass is usually close to real one. But in Stormworks how much kg is 1 mass is debated. Player is 50 mass and 10 liters of water, or any fluid, is 1 mass instead of 10. This low-weight water affects buoyancy. Your craft's floats need to be 10 times bigger in volume (roughly double in size of all-three dimension). Adding weight blocks to an already heavy craft is definitely not ideal. Also I recently found out that using compact pivots for buoyancy also affects flight characteristic in a really bad way, makes the craft quite unstable. I spent hours on altitude hold system but it didn't work until I removed compact pivots in floats. How are your experiences with buoyancy in Stormworks, compact-pivots to get extra buoyancy and their effect on flight stability?
my simple helicopter sits sideways in the water, allowing me to jump in the side door w/o water intrusion, then I start it and use the tail rotor and 'auto-hover' to right it. Ugly, but it works
Stormworks is buggy as hell basically. Pivots and other things like linear track parts create extra buoyancy, i think he moved them inside the floats later
@@MrNJersey I see :-). I tried to rebuild your heli, and as funny it is, with my current save game i could not get it to run up properly, now with a fresh save game, the same setup works quite well...!?

Heli pilot to the right too
@@aleksander2810 I believe it depends on model, mostly due to country of origin.
@@d10valentin afraid not. Both the seating and the lights are international standards.
I like your radiator with water tank design, I’ve never seen it done that way and it is very compact!
Please upload this to the workshop

1 hour submarine with torpedo build challenge?

Got a cv22 like this that floats and self rights if it gets flipped, Im sad amounts of proud by it xD
great video! i love these one hour build challenges its entertaining and it teaches me about the game because i play it. Lol
wow your good at building i wish i could build in this game lol
You make stuff in one hour that would take me at least 2 😂 and still manage to make it better than me
whenever i put a fluid tank (with water) on my radiator system it seems to cool worse, i believe the system spawns full when there is no tank
Tail rotor working by changing rotation direction, but it should by changing attack angle, to work properly
Great job once agian you have always helped me with stormworks and it was awesome when I joined your server and you were playing
Yes please do more one hour challenge I love them. Also keep up the great work!
Make a floating plane next
Do u also put an after-burner on ur exhaust?
This isn’t a jet engine

Pls do more of those videos
cmon, dont be shy, do a plane next!
Can we get a multiplayer varation of this? Would be fun
This is the best
Pls more 1 h just more
Did you ever remember to add the generator?
Can you put this on the workshop?
nice :)
Someone explain what he did with all those pivots on the bottom on a float test?
Stormworks is buggy as hell basically. Pivots and other things like linear track parts create extra buoyancy, i think he moved them inside the floats later
@@ghostcorpse3016 in ships you can hide landing floats on pivots as well, they will have separate physics allowing you to have more buoyancy.
Really nice 👌 😍💋 💝💖❤️
if this is a 1h challenge, why did you edit out the most interesting parts of building? Is this not a step by step guide?
It’s not a guide nor a tutorial, if you want those then go see my step by step guides/tutorials
