- Gen. Ali Fadavi, deputy commander-in-chief of Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard said Friday a ground operation by Israel against the Iranian-backed Hezbollah will end in a "huge defeat" for Israel.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened at an UN meeting that the long arm of Israel could reach any country in the Middle East.
The U.N. Security Council meeting on Friday saw many top diplomats and ambassadors calling for an immediate ceasefire in the region, with some condemning Netanyahu and Israeli government.
