You did very well considering you don't drink too much normally so well done ✅ Next time you go shopping for the booze look for banana liqueur , so next time you do a test with shorts and they don't taste to well just add a drop ( eye drop size or a couple of ) to the drink and it will taste far better , but be careful it doesn't become a habit 😉 . Come to think of it I've never done it with beer , cider or champagne etc so you can always do one of your reaction tests but just drink no more than 1/2 pint at a time , or smaller 😂
I heard his Whiskey and Sodas were SUPER weak. Very little Whiskey and mostly Soda Water. When I saw you pouring those Double Shots my Heart went out to you!😂
"Mr. Churchill, you are drunk!" "And you, Madam, are ugly, but in the morning, I shall be sober!" "If you were my husband, I would poison your drink!" "If you were my wife, Madam, I would drink it!"
Okay that whole experiment was fantastic to watch and seeing Alanna get progressively sloshed throughout the day was a lot of fun. I am left with the realization that one of the greatest war leaders was perennially legless.
Churchill had a small dash of whisky with lots of soda in a large glass, it was not a full measure of whisky and as a result would be low in alcohol. It was to provide some flavour and was a habit he picked up in India to make the water palatable.

It’s a very common scene in movies about posh families to show the butler ironing the newspaper before it is taken upstairs. This was actually done, but not to present a nice smooth newspaper. It was to dry the ink, to stop it getting everywhere.
One of my favourite parts of Churchills routine was the fact that if he couldn't sleep at night or was up late trying to find inspiration for a speech he would pace up and down in one of the big rooms while listening to marching band music, drinking and smoking cigars. How about adding that to the Naps daily regime. 😀😀😎
I knew that Churchill had a very unusual daily routine. Clearly it worked for him! It is the first time that I have seen a RUclipsr carry out a daily routine of a famous person, so well done Alanna! ✌✌✌✌
What an interesting video, I’m a big fan of late nights most of my life. The building, the street, the city all goes quiet. No phone calls, messages, nobody asking you for anything or to do anything, finally some time for your mind to relax. Might not be healthy all the time but now and then I think it works wonders, thanks for the vid Alana!
I have to say this was one of your crazier ideas for a video, but it was so amusing to follow you on this particular journey of discovery - it’s for sure that WSC was an unusual person and whilst I admire him enormously, I’m not sure my stomach and liver could put up with his routine for very long. I hope your equilibrium is now restored. By the way, one of my favourite champagnes is Pol Roger (Churchill’s preferred house), although the one I return to whenever possible is Veuve Cliquot, my own favourite for very many years 🍾🥂 - cheers 😂.
Churchill would have his secretary in his bedroom and dictate to her. Watch the film Darkest hour. That is a good portrait of his routine. A good film to. Keep up the good work
That was great! I felt that this video embodied the channel name. There were adventures - many of them bottled - and also naps! And your face peeping over the foam in the bath made me LOL! 😆
Slightly disappointed you didn’t wage war against a global tyrant, but ignoring that slight oversight, I’m not sure what’s more appropriate, a standing ovation or therapy. Either way, thank you, just hilarious.
Just watched your vid at 8 in the morning on a day off and the thought of having a whisky 😵 what a trooper Alanna. Laughed all the way through what a great post. You gotta do more like this.👍❤️
His drinks were really diluted- 7 parts water to 1 part whiskey. Also, he had a tray table made for working in bed. I often stay in bed til 11, drinking tea, on the laptop etc, I don't know why you found it so hard!
Hysterical. I'm stunned at the wee drams you poured... and drank! I would be face down on the floor by your 5 PM Cognac blast. A nap at that point... sure, for about 10 hours. Didn't he also smoke and chew on cigars all day long? Well, glad you didn't include that fine habit of his. Loved this video. Love you. Keep up the great gonzo journalism!! 💖
What an entertaining video! I would have fallen asleep long before midnight. I'd love to see an exploration of Geroge Eliot's day; blocks of writing, reading, walking, socializing. Keep up the good work. :)
House robe! 🤔 I call it a dressing gown.... 😀 It does sounds pretty old-fashioned thinking about it, especially because I always seem to ware one on top of my clothes in the winter, because my house is old and cold.
The greatness of the man is only made better by his eccentricities... his wit is legendary, his writing (on subjects he was expert in) fills several shelves, his speeches are still quoted over 80 years later. I love that he would put on a boiler suit and build a brick wall or paint fantastic watercolour paintings and enjoy long friendly meetings with world leaders in the same way we go shopping or catch the bus. I love that he was a war hero, escaped prison, and impressed his bodyguard with his eagerness to engage a would be assassin with his own pistol. I loved that his devoted wife eagerly beavered behind the scenes to smooth over potential embarrassments and that they remained faithful to the end.
War hero? No. He only went into the army as a penance for his role in the disastrous Gallipoli campaign in the First World War. I'd read some history if I were you.
@@eightiesmusic1984 He joined the British Army in 1895 and saw action in British India, the Anglo-Sudan War, and the Second Boer War, gaining fame as a war correspondent and writing books about his campaigns. Fantastic idea for a video !!! Churchill was notoriously unconventional , with a great , dry , sarcastic sense of humour . Not unlike a certain Canadian you tuber we all know and love !!!😂
He was a racist. He is still strongly opposed by many in South Wales to this day for sending troops to the area in 1910-11 when the Tonypandy riots took place, disturbances between the authorities and striking miners. He had to address it as late as 1950 when campaigning in the election in the area, where he claimed to have been a supporter of the miners. Not what the facts around the General Strike of 1926 show either, where he was put in charge of government propaganda sheet The British Gazette by PM Baldwin to keep him out of the way. In 1945 he claimed Labour would need a UK version of the Gestapo to implement the welfare state, including the NHS. His wife told him not to make such an inflammatory, offensive remark but he went ahead. A disgrace on so many levels, notwithstanding his wartime leadership.

Love Love Loved!! 😂 More of these!!! You have shown me a way to get away with drinking in public! I’ll keep that trick in my back pocket for when necessary.
It never fails to astonish me how some people can be functioning alcoholics. My grandmother worked until 4pm every day, came home, put her PJs on and started to binge drink and chain smoke to Dr. Phil. By 5:15 she would say "I really looooove that Dr. Phil..." Stammer into the den and pass out cold for two hours, only wake up to resume the drinking. She did that for 40 years and by the time she was 80 she had fairly well pickled herself. They are functional until they aren't 😣

Hi,enjoyed this, found informative and so funny, being English and from Essex just across the Thames from you in Kent,I would never have thought Churchills day would be like that, I'm surprised he made all those great speeches half pissed, right man for the right time🏴🇬🇧
This video was so funny especially at certain points where you can tell you're tipsy from the drinking, well done for managing to still work during these times and until so late also 😂. I'm sure the middle of the day walk was more of an adventurous stroll than normal as well 😀A great way to combine history with another great British pastime!
You forgot to have your daily newspaper ironed by your household staff. During WWII food rationing Churchill ate more in a day than most people ate in a week.
Speaking as one who wakes at 6.30, reads the papers, writes (using an A4 ringbinder as a surface), and rises about 10, 10.30am, I feel where Winston made his mistake was with the whisky. Three cups of strong tea, that's the ticket! Also, the trick to eating in bed is to put a pillow on your lap and a tray on the pillow.
Oh Goody! An Alanna gets drunk vid... I'll get the popcorn. Honestly, any excuse with this girl. That was great fun, you are very entertaining when you are tipsy. Of course Churchill had the advantage of a house full of servants and had been living this lifestyle for most of his life. Very well done though.
Oh Alanna, I don’t consume alcohol these days, but even when I did, alcohol in the morning was just a way to postpone a hangover from the night before. Alcohol at lunchtime always resulted in a headache by late afternoon. You did well to put off the headache until midnight. He never looked the healthiest of individuals did he. Point of order: I did not see you smoke one single cigar 😂😂 so you owe us a video with you doing that 😂😂. Very enjoyable.
You did a good job. II love in Tonbridge Kent for a few months several years ago. Great memories. loved it. I have read that Churchill's morning drinks were just soda water with just a spot of Johnny Walker for flavor. The whiskey barely covered the bottom of the glass. 😁 I am going to check out your fragrances. I wish you made some Churchill inspired wax melts.
Most of the day Churchill was stark naked, while entertaining several people as he was in his bath. I don't feel you were entering fully into the spirit of it. 🤣😁
This was a really cool video. They say you can't understand someone until you walk a mile in their shoes - in this case, with a travel mug of alcohol! Where I live, there is a bar that opens at 9am, because beer isn't just for breakfast any more. It seems you sometimes suffer for your art! But, we really appreciate it when you do! :)
Having read the 1,150+ page biography Churchill: Walking with Destiny. He was an interesting man. Good for you for attempting this! I'm guessing his Whisky & Soda ratio would be more like 2 shots Whisky:1 drop soda water. As a whiskey lover myself that is about all the water I would want. No computers or emails in Churhill's days. Not invented yet! Walking in the park, not in a straight line, hmm was that the wind or the whisky at work? Ha Ha Great vid
🤣🤣 What a funny video. You were much like a dying swan as you crashed during the day. Churchill could take it but you couldn't. 🤣🤣 Let's see you do it for a week. 🤣🤣
This is a generic comment, not specific to this video. Bearing in mind I am old enough to be your father and that is how I am responding to your videos, , you are just enchanting. Your videos are just fantastic, you should be very proud of them. I know you no longer have your father but, my God, he would be so proud of the woman you have become.
Very charming! Would love to join you next time. By the way, there are many good role models in this field beside Churchill, for instance in literature. Just one detail: body size is of certain importance here.
Oh Alana. The sacrifices you make for our adoration are remarkable. On the bed routine Churchill had the advantage of built in cushions and a large table. You are far more svelte than he.
Thanks for the video, it was cool. I think Churchill's whiskey and soda was a little weaker than yours, probably more like 1 part whiskey to 5 parts water! :) I did not realise you made and sold fragrances, so I just placed an order!
Churchill was very much of his time. He was born in 1874 and will've been 40/41 when he served in WW1. He was 70 in 1944, so you were kind-of following the routine of a pensioner here, so fair enough he enjoyed his food and had developed a strong alcohol tolerance. Yeeah, I suspect Churchill will've had a bath run for him and likely got woke up about when it was ready, which would save a lot of time. Definitely a fun idea for a video. and fun generally. 'Definitely-not'-drunk Alanna is always amusing also. Also, you didn't set an alarm when you had the nap in the evening?

Quite right I say 🧐, we need some stark nakedness 🤙😂👏
This was a really cool video. They say you can't understand someone until you walk a mile in their shoes - in this case, with a travel mug of alcohol! Where I live, there is a bar that opens at 9am, because beer isn't just for breakfast any more. It seems you sometimes suffer for your art! But, we really appreciate it when you do! :)
Loved the video, sure was an experience.
I was looking forward to seeing you smoke a cigar with your brandy… 🤣
Well done Alanna! A tough day but someone has to do it. Time for a drink and a paracetamol ? Many thanks for sharing.
Your guess is wrong. He had much more water than whisky, supposedly 7 parts water to 1 of whisky.
Such a hoot watching you progress nearer and nearer to inebriation.
Great video! I Hope this becomes a series, up next the daily routine of Mark E. Smith...
Thanks for watching!
Get up, drink, sack a band member.
Mixing grape and grain! I feel a hangover coming on in Sympathy
Very charming! Would love to join you next time. By the way, there are many good role models in this field beside Churchill, for instance in literature. Just one detail: body size is of certain importance here.
totally up for it for the cause. BRILLIANT get on
Oh Alana. The sacrifices you make for our adoration are remarkable. On the bed routine Churchill had the advantage of built in cushions and a large table. You are far more svelte than he.
Great video, loved this one. Think you should do a day in the life of other famous people....like Bob Marley or Jimi Hendrix. 😉
There can't be many people who punish themselves as much as you do to entertain viewers. 🤩
A really fun video, well done for getting through it 😊🎉🥂
Thanks for the video, it was cool.
Gosh that was facinating ….. Allanaglad we’ve moved on from those times though… I have a suggestion for you… Fdr’s Daily routine ( and great WW2 Leader
