Dang :-/ I just got an invite to purchase Astro and it seems like we are paying to be beta testers. Didn’t Amazon lay off a large portion of the Alexa dept too?
For some reason my Alexa app & Astro app did not sync. I wound up resetting Astro and the accounts synchronized. If Astro shows up under your Alexa app you should not have this problem.
@@CyberMedics I’m torn on the purchase. It’s a high price to pay to be a beta tester. I bought Sony’s Aibo and I still feel like I’m beta testing it since it has to many quirks.
@steevthetech Personally I think the best use case for a home robot is Mobility with a camera that you can control so that you can check out any area in your house. Some of the home vacuums include this but I didn't like the idea of having a camera on my vacuum. recording my house. So what I'm looking for is a stripped-down Astro with a mobile camera. Hopefully well under $500. Have you done any Research into this or have any recommendations? I plan on sending Astro back I can't justify that amount of money for what it does.
@@CyberMedics I just use Google home/indoor/outdoor cameras and they’re perfect for my needs. The resolution is high enough to see if the burner is on or a window is open. Astro at this point is mainly for fun and consumer research. Still can’t find info if he won’t fall down the stairs.
Thanks for sharing this video god bless
Thank you too
You should probably rename this video as the title suggests general help but this is for a very specific problem.
