At this point the only desktop I've liked overall has been xfce. Gnome was kinda cool because it was different feeling than other stuff. Still wasn't my style. Kde always acts kinda wierd/glitchy though I never stick around with it long enough to actually get it fully set up, so that could be why. I don't see myself leaving tiling window managers tbh. I like the work flow more, also, at least for now I have just been installing new ones, making myself learn to configure it, then once I get it down. Do it again. Right now I'm doing qtile. Having no idea about python its had its challenges, but its coming along. At some point I will probably dive into xmonad but it seems a bit intimidating currently.

I ditched kde for hyprland because I was unsatified with its customizability but looking at your setup I guess it was simply skill issue on my part
Tbh kde kinda sucks even with all the work I've done to it. My personal recommendation is i3 or sway (for Wayland)
