I still remember my first day of Russian class at college. The teachers said here's how you say hello: здравствуйте. The book has it written in cursive and I was blown away. I quickly lost My fear though and I love Russian!
cursive on day 1? :D hardcore
We didn't learn cursive, but it was in a picture in the book. 🙂 I still have a copy of that book from 1991.
@@RealRussianClub I first studied Russian in a military school. We learned Cyrillic in about 3 days. Surprisingly very easy. It got so that when we wrote English we used Cyrillic instead!

I like these shorter videos you make. They are very condensed but very helpful and educational. Спасибо!!

Short videos seem a nice idea, cause is less information, therefore easier to remember.

Have a good one for you and your listeners... Sailor's here say: " Fair winds and following seas 🌊 ".
Is there a Russian saying?
попутного ветра?
❤
I was told not to ask "how are you", when I was in Russia, because it would be taken as a very personal question.
well not VERY personal, it's just not common to use it as a greeting
@@RealRussianClub Thank you for clearing that up for me. Maybe I misunderstood that then.
Пока пока!
мне сказали пока-пока означает поцелуи
нет :D
@@RealRussianClub good to know.
I might get to borrow my friends computer Sunday & post more Cyrillic.
Ah!I was sleeping, sorry
You have very good English, but I have noticed one very small point that, as an ESL teacher, kind of jumps out at me. We say, "I'll see you tomorrow" rather than "I see you tomorrow." This is not a criticism; it is more of an observation.
When I spoke a few times to my friend in Moscow at the end of her working day in the office, I heard many times say до свидания to people going home, so I assume that it's ok to say до свидания to your coworkers at the end of the day.
First
Пока пока! 🐔🤭
Is Michael also learning?
yes
Now I am left wondering the sound of a chicken in Russian. Has to be better than кулдык.
ко-ко-ко
Спасибо большое, было хорошо и полезное урок, до свидания
Haha, but chicken says kukarykoo 😂
the rooster does :)
Paka paka
Where do u live in America/ Europe or In Russia 🇷🇺 currently??
Colorado, USA
In hindi pakah pakah = promise 😂
If до свидания is two words, why isn’t the “o” in “до” a hard “o”?
they merge together when speaking, and the vowel reduction rule applies
до свидания мой любимый город
я люблю эту песню
Huge respect and Love from India!!!!!!! Russia is our big brother!! we Love Russia, would like to visit once in a life!
