- Welcome back to the Grishaverse! For all you Shadow & Bone fans, IGN exclusively reveals the season 2 trailer of Netflix’s hit fantasy epic. We sit down with returning cast members Ben Barnes, Jessie Mei Li and Kit Young, as well as their new castmates Patrick Gibson, Lewis Tan, Anna Leong Brophy and Jack Wolfe for IGN Fan Fest.
Together, the cast answers your questions about season 2 - including their take on the ever-present question: Darklina or Malina? Season 2 of Shadow & Bone drops on Netflix on March 16th.

Would’ve liked this better if they didn’t keep cutting away from the actors while they were talking
They mainly edited it that way for viewer retention. There’s an unwritten thing with videos where you need something to change/cut away every 7 seconds or so

Darklina is a story of gaslighting, abuse, and turning the “sexy bad boy” trope on its head by playing said bad boy as the villain he really is.
As opposed to Twilight, or 50 Shades, or the Star Wars sequels with their “Reylo” crap which all make excuses or reward said shitty behavior.
What makes Darklina interesting is that it’s doomed. He’s a monster, and Alina knows that.
There is no happily ever after with a man like him.
I'm glad she has a future with a man who is also emotionally abusive with some sprinkles of gaslighting like Mal. Changing his entire show character is a prove that Malina is toxic af as well lmao.
There is something call redemption and if can change then why not
