Even though virtually every service was running late you still got a day out of it and the stations which I’ve been through myself look nice places to train spot so apart from the delays another great video it was Simon 👍🏻
Great vlog on the West Marches Line Simon. I’ve only ever been to Hereford & Shrewsbury on these lines but from Birmingham. Nice to see the class 67 Locos along this section it’s a section I definitely want to do one day. Shame about the delays though. I enjoyed watching as always.
Love the Welsh Marches. At the moment with 175's and the MK4 sets delays are commonplace, though 197's have started being used down there. BTW I have always pronounced it Lemster, doesn't mean I'm right though
Despite the delays due to what was going on between Crewe-Manchester, It's been an excellent vlog with Superior Sprinter action! I'd like to Venture out to the Welsh Marshes line one day. Yes Leominster was the western Terminus with the line from the now disused Bransford Road Jcn between Worcester & Malvern Link. Brilliant video Cyber, I've never travelled down the Welsh Marshes line, the stations look nice and it has brilliant scenery. Pity about all the trains running late though.
Great video mate. Just be thankful you get regional trains at all. Here in Australia, most places get one or two services a day! Oh, and "Leominster" is best pronounced "Lem-ster"
That I can agree with being honest, whenever I'm at Crewe, Chester, on the Crewe to Manchester Line I do notice the delays and terminate the train early
@@Sim0nTrains Yep, normally at Wilmslow on the Manchester line but, they only have 15 minutes to go back to Cardiff/Swansea/Pembroke Dock or where ever.
Hi Simon A very nice video, unlucky with the late running but you got to all the places youi wanted to, by the way did you get any bargains from Hereford Model Centre...lol. Thanks
I guess if all of the trains were delayed then it didn’t matter too much as everything just took 20 minutes longer? I “think” that Leominster could be pronounced Lemster which is even more weird! The class 67 pulling the rake of coaches had a very boring livery - are there not TfW liveried locos?
Leominster is not even pronounced /lem-minster/. It's always /lem-ster/. You can't really teach an Englishman how to pronounce Llanelli, as it is far easier to just mimic the accompanying grunge of a true native, which I am not. My pronunciation of Llanelli is fairly spot-on however, but that is because I started to learn Welsh at Bargoed in the 60s. /bar-goid/ or /bar-gud/ to most Wenglish speaking locals, by the way. ;-) Rock on Simon! :-)
Nice, 150s on the Manchester to Cardiff. Literally an inter city service...

Very entertaining video Simon.
Excellent days trains, it’s inevitable that you’ll encounter delays. I seem having that allot recently, Code reds and the like .
I was in Cardiff on Saturday, delays were bad!

Delays? Always delays on the Welsh Marches Line, live on it. TfW's normal thing being late!

Typical of trains being delayed. Maybe it’s because of the bad weather and the heatwave that has been causing lots of issues on the railways.

Every train delayed? Sounds more like Germany than Wales. 🤣
