@ravi oli yes I'm an Adventist. The iron and clay represent the ten European countries that the Roman empire divided into. A lot of prophecies were successfully decoded in the 1800s. Different people from different churches put differences aside and came together to study the truth of the Bible and they were given great light. The "Spirit of Prophecy" authored by E.G.White is a great guide for Bible study. Here is a website that covers many prophecy studies with reference to the Bible and her books. The detail in Danie 11, proves the truth and faithfulness of the sure word of prophecy. Daniel 11 : 1 thru 30 takes you through 539 to 476 ad with the fall of Rome. There's minute detail of the Kings and kingdoms involved. We can expect the prophecies involving us to be just as precise. Daniel 11 has nearly reached fulfillment, the last few verses, that's all. We are down to about verse 40 , right now.

it's videos like this that i really enjoy. in my old(ish) age (i'm 30) i've gotten into documentaries. more specifically historical ones. i've been christian my whole life but have never found as good of a documentary on biblical history as this. i enjoyed it, thanks.

In the Book of Daniel, 10:21, Daniel was told what was written in the Book of Truth, and was told to seal the words until the time of the end. And will rise at the end times. If the Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth, does this mean that Daniel is the name of the Holy Spirit? The one that Jesus had promised when He said, I will ask the father and he will send us another counselor to be with us forever. When he, the spirit of truth comes, he will guide us into all Truth. What is your interpretation of this.

I find it odd how so many people here are arguing about which tribes are the toes and so on. For many decades people have known which empires represents the body of the statue, there may be some debate about which tribes are the toes but that doesn't change anything. Jesus didn't say if you have knowledge you will be saved. He said, "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Well, let’s see… Chapter 5 of the book of Daniel starts by telling us that the Persians attacked Babylon while Belshazzar was enjoying a massive party with guests drinking from gold vessels that his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem (Dan. 5:1-2). How many mistakes do you think the author managed to pack in just two verses? At least two ginormous ones. Belshazzar was NOT king and Nebuchadnezzar was NOT Belshazzar’s father. Also cute is how the author gets angry at the Babylonian king for “taking” the gold vessels from Jerusalem when the Bible tells us they were gifts from God to his co-conspirator Nebuchadnezzar. (According to the Bible the god of the Jews sided with King Neb against his own people.) After repeating these mistakes over and over again, the same chapter ends by telling us that Daniel became a ruler of the kingdom and that Darius the Mede also became king (Dan. 5:29-31). How many mistakes here? Neither Daniel nor Darius became kings on that day. Daniel of course is not a historical figure, and it was Cyrus who conquered Babylon, not Darius. The Bible says that this supposed King Darius was sixty-two years old but the first Darius that ruled Babylon was only eleven years old at the time. So that’s at least four historical gaffes in just one chapter. When you hear narrators like this saying things like “Cyrus was not sole ruler“ or “he gave authority to his aged uncle Darius the Mede” understand he is just making things up. Christian apologists are comfortable fibbing like this. Anything to correct the many, many, many mistakes of the Bible.
+ken john Why should we take Daniel seriously when the author made such huge mistakes (my comment from two weeks ago)? You never refuted any of those, so I take it you accept the fact that the Book of Daniel is unreliable. Besides, the author is an impostor who created a character that did not exist and pretended to be writing during the Babylonian captivity when in fact he wrote his book in 165 BCE. So, again, why should anybody take this charlatan seriously? But, since you admire this fraudster and want to talk about his so-called prophecies, let me explain how much of a joke they were. Let's look at the 70-week prophecy: Dan. 9:24 says: Seventy weeks are decreed for your people and your holy city: to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place. In what context did this "everlasting righteousness" happen? Or the end of sin or anything else in this verse? In aboslutely no context at all. Nothing of the sort happened. And, therefore, THE PROPHECY FAILED. Dan. 9:25 says: Know therefore and understand: from the time that the word went out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the time of an anointed prince, there shall be seven weeks; and for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with streets and moat, but in a troubled time. Was anybody anointed king seven weeks after the restoration of Jerusalem? Obviously not. Even when you can change and misconstrue and misrepresent the seven weeks this way or the other (Christians don't even agree among themselves how to recast the weeks), Israel never had an anointed king, no matter what "context" you invent. THE PROPHECY FAILED. Dan 9:26 says: After the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing, and the troops of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed. Did anyone destroy the city after 62 weeks? (Or any misrepresentation thereof?) No.The only thing that happened over and over again was war (what else is new?) Was there any flood? No. Any desolation? No. THE PROPHECY FAILED IN ALL ITS PARTS. Dan 9:27 says: He shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall make sacrifice and offering cease... Did the sacrifice and offering cease "for half of the week?" No. Forever, maybe. Not for half a week. NOTHING WAS FULFILLED. The prophecy is a joke. I know what you are going to say, of course. You're going to say I don't understand and refer me to another link that screws the context up. The fact is YOU, ken john, YOU are the one who doesn't understand squat about this prophecy and you have no brains about it. Your preachers have washed all sense out of your brain.

I would like to say, I believe that many would-be Christens have been deceived, but that would be a lie! The Bible has told its readers that they would be deceived. It has been laid-out throughout the Bible, but let’s look and see so you will understand! Now what are the seeds representing? Do you follow Christ, or do you follow men and women? Look at what Jesus tells His readers His followers in Matthew 13. Matthew 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. Did you see the word, we? NO. Jesus has told His followers that He alone will be revealing secret that no one else can!! So let’s see what the seed is representing? Within one of these parables Jesus gives His followers the interpretion of a parable this is what He tells them in Matt. 13:37-38 Matthew 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; Matthew 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one. Now in another parable Jesus tells His readers this in, Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. So I ask you again? Why do many consider themselves Christens! They do not follow Christ, they follow men and women. They reject the GOOD SEED.

Just be careful. It makes obvious false claims, like suggesting Leo was the first pope or the authority of the bishops was a new idea in the 4th century. It can be very easy to watch a video and be fooled. If you'd like sources that give evidence against these ahistorical claims, I'd be happy to provide them so you will not be misled by an easy presentation.

@ravi oli yes I'm an Adventist. The iron and clay represent the ten European countries that the Roman empire divided into. A lot of prophecies were successfully decoded in the 1800s. Different people from different churches put differences aside and came together to study the truth of the Bible and they were given great light. The "Spirit of Prophecy" authored by E.G.White is a great guide for Bible study. Here is a website that covers many prophecy studies with reference to the Bible and her books. It is very informative and really increases your faith when you see how accurate the Bible is. You will be blessed. They have recommended other websites that are great too.

The detail in Danie 11, proves the truth and faithfulness of the sure word of prophecy. Daniel 11 : 1 thru 30 takes you through 539 to 476 ad with the fall of Rome. There's minute detail of the Kings and kingdoms involved. We can expect the prophecies involving us to be just as precise. Daniel 11 has nearly reached fulfillment, the last few verses, that's all. We are down to about verse 40 , right now.
My goal was to start this video tonight and finish it on a few following nights due to the length. I failed. Horribly. Once started, my bum stayed in the seat through to the very end. Very well done.

it's videos like this that i really enjoy. in my old(ish) age (i'm 30) i've gotten into documentaries. more specifically historical ones. i've been christian my whole life but have never found as good of a documentary on biblical history as this. i enjoyed it, thanks.

In the Book of Daniel, 10:21, Daniel was told what was written in the Book of Truth, and was told to seal the words until the time of the end. And will rise at the end times. If the Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth, does this mean that Daniel is the name of the Holy Spirit? The one that Jesus had promised when He said, I will ask the father and he will send us another counselor to be with us forever. When he, the spirit of truth comes, he will guide us into all Truth. What is your interpretation of this.

I find it odd how so many people here are arguing about which tribes are the toes and so on. For many decades people have known which empires represents the body of the statue, there may be some debate about which tribes are the toes but that doesn't change anything. Jesus didn't say if you have knowledge you will be saved. He said, "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Well, let’s see… Chapter 5 of the book of Daniel starts by telling us that the Persians attacked Babylon while Belshazzar was enjoying a massive party with guests drinking from gold vessels that his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem (Dan. 5:1-2). How many mistakes do you think the author managed to pack in just two verses? At least two ginormous ones. Belshazzar was NOT king and Nebuchadnezzar was NOT Belshazzar’s father. Also cute is how the author gets angry at the Babylonian king for “taking” the gold vessels from Jerusalem when the Bible tells us they were gifts from God to his co-conspirator Nebuchadnezzar. (According to the Bible the god of the Jews sided with King Neb against his own people.)
After repeating these mistakes over and over again, the same chapter ends by telling us that Daniel became a ruler of the kingdom and that Darius the Mede also became king (Dan. 5:29-31). How many mistakes here? Neither Daniel nor Darius became kings on that day. Daniel of course is not a historical figure, and it was Cyrus who conquered Babylon, not Darius. The Bible says that this supposed King Darius was sixty-two years old but the first Darius that ruled Babylon was only eleven years old at the time.
So that’s at least four historical gaffes in just one chapter. When you hear narrators like this saying things like “Cyrus was not sole ruler“ or “he gave authority to his aged uncle Darius the Mede” understand he is just making things up. Christian apologists are comfortable fibbing like this. Anything to correct the many, many, many mistakes of the Bible.

Why should we take Daniel seriously when the author made such huge mistakes (my comment from two weeks ago)? You never refuted any of those, so I take it you accept the fact that the Book of Daniel is unreliable.
Besides, the author is an impostor who created a character that did not exist and pretended to be writing during the Babylonian captivity when in fact he wrote his book in 165 BCE. So, again, why should anybody take this charlatan seriously?
But, since you admire this fraudster and want to talk about his so-called prophecies, let me explain how much of a joke they were. Let's look at the 70-week prophecy:
Dan. 9:24 says: Seventy weeks are decreed for your people and your holy city: to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place.
In what context did this "everlasting righteousness" happen? Or the end of sin or anything else in this verse? In aboslutely no context at all. Nothing of the sort happened. And, therefore, THE PROPHECY FAILED.
Dan. 9:25 says: Know therefore and understand: from the time that the word went out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the time of an anointed prince, there shall be seven weeks; and for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with streets and moat, but in a troubled time.
Was anybody anointed king seven weeks after the restoration of Jerusalem? Obviously not. Even when you can change and misconstrue and misrepresent the seven weeks this way or the other (Christians don't even agree among themselves how to recast the weeks), Israel never had an anointed king, no matter what "context" you invent. THE PROPHECY FAILED.
Dan 9:26 says: After the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing, and the troops of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed.
Did anyone destroy the city after 62 weeks? (Or any misrepresentation thereof?) No.The only thing that happened over and over again was war (what else is new?) Was there any flood? No. Any desolation? No. THE PROPHECY FAILED IN ALL ITS PARTS.
Dan 9:27 says: He shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall make sacrifice and offering cease...
Did the sacrifice and offering cease "for half of the week?" No. Forever, maybe. Not for half a week. NOTHING WAS FULFILLED. The prophecy is a joke.
I know what you are going to say, of course. You're going to say I don't understand and refer me to another link that screws the context up. The fact is YOU, ken john, YOU are the one who doesn't understand squat about this prophecy and you have no brains about it. Your preachers have washed all sense out of your brain.

The first Darius in Babylonian history came later. He was only eleven years old during the conquest of Babylon and had no part in it.

tells His readers His followers in Matthew 13.
Matthew 13:35 That

was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from
the foundation of the world.
Did you see the word, we? NO. Jesus has told His followers that He alone will be revealing secret that no one else can!!
So let’s see what the seed is representing?
Within one of these parables Jesus
gives His followers the interpretion
of a parable this is what He tells them
in Matt. 13:37-38
Matthew 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good
seed is the Son of
man;
Matthew 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children
of the kingdom; but the tares are the children
of the wicked one.
Now in
another parable Jesus tells His
readers this in, Luke 8:11 Now the parable
is this: The seed is the word of God.
So I ask you again? Why do many consider themselves Christens!
They do not follow Christ, they follow men and women. They reject

For some parts that was not explicitly detailed, one just have to refer them to the Bible. Just be careful. It makes obvious false claims, like suggesting Leo was the first pope or the authority of the bishops was a new idea in the 4th century. It can be very easy to watch a video and be fooled. If you'd like sources that give evidence against these ahistorical claims, I'd be happy to provide them so you will not be misled by an easy presentation.
