The background theory is not properly right. Penelope deverex was a young lady and sir Philip was bad looking and also short- highted men. when Philip Sidney got a success by his writing throughout the whole England, the lady loved him for his success. But when sir Philip went to get his prize in the stage, the lady saw him and after that he was not attracted by his outer beauty and then she reject him. For this reason sir Philip started to write this poem.
