RUN COMMENTS
Messed up the Red House jump and both Bitclips were kind of slow. Other than that this run wasn't bad.

Jiggywiggy: You need to collect enough Jiggies in order to explore new worlds.
Banjo and Kazooie: lol, no
Technically even without glitches thats still true as theres an ingame cheat that forces the doors open
@@LokiTheClever I Think, if i recall correctly. The Code is JIGGYWIGGYSPECIAL. Really Amazing.
12:50 was so bizarre, I was like what does this lead to...and then FLOOP into the ground he goes
Incredible run ! It has a lot of moments where you make it entertaining (e.g the moment you stand in a corner knowing the drill won't touch you). I like it 😁
even back then 69 was being memed in video games with the final door asking for 69 jiggies
How to Enter Witchyworld: Become a Witch
Beat Grunty in under half an hour, the victory party still wore themselves out before you get there, lol.
wait I blinked and he went from witchyworld to the top of couldron keep
N64 speedrunning in a nutshell
This game has one of the best final boss battles in any video game, hands down

That's kazooie
if you're 4 years old maybe
@@toolofthelordshut up
I love getting into worlds without opening the gates, such as going through the floor and under the gate of witchyworld, and going from inside the mine to suddenly right before you fight grunty...
Seriously well done! I caught this by chance having just stepped back in to 100% this ❤
Sick way to glance over everything and everybody with you're glitches
8:34 wow I didn't know that was a thing
We gotta get bismuth to explain this one! I have no idea what's going on lol.
At the beginning he skips the with klungo by going around the cutscene trigger wall. Then in witchy world he has to get the angle and position perfect to clip through the geometry (pausing and zooming in can help in the precision, when you zoom you can move the angle less), then he uses a cutscene warp (loads one cutscene, then pauses another, only to restart the first cutscene and then clip to the second). Idk how he does the grenade egg/clockwork kazooie jump. Lastly, when he looks away from Grunty, that's to lower lag.

You're my HERO !!!!
An unexpected but welcome surprise
Hey Pjii, brgreengo here. Good to see your record. Wish u the best!!
You're so inspirational!
13:01 “You’re not that guy, pal”
in my memories the graphics were so clean , im shocked lol

Everyone kinda forgets this or doesn’t think like this, these games were out in the 90s, in the 90s the technology was so far behind what we have 30 years later. The technology and video games were made for each other, these games were played on a crt that they were designed for, our eyes didn’t know any better graphics would ever exist, it was clear back then because of this. Now a days we watch these playthoughs on modern lcd or oled displays which get compressed video files to play and it just ruins the quality. Go home and take the n64 out, find a free best quality crt for the early 90s you can find and plug this in. You’ll be surprised
@thebutcher1412 Also, we played these games through CRT TV.
For the time, it's right
Terminalmontage should make a video about this....
Awesome speedrun
Nice run bro!
It's been a while since I've seen this game in its original resolution. Dang technology has come a long way. I haven't played it on an actual n64 since I was a kid.
You should 😊
Huh makes sense the Japanese version would get the censored version of the final scene with the bag.
Congrats, Pjii! ✨
Congrats Pjii
Best game ever
Rare built, by far, the most annoying audio-to-efficient movement ratios
Change my mind
it took me even longer to beat Banjo Kazooie
Your a genuis.. And the GOAT
This is crazy fast❤
Whoever discovered that the credits could warp you to the end of the game was a genius.
Why not put WR in the title? It’l get more views, amazing run too congrats!
I've never cared to put "WR" in the titles or thumbnails. It's just not something I personally do.
@@Pjii wow humble as ever, glad I found your channel, you’re very damn good at this game, you can 100% tooie faster then i can 100% kazooie , have you ever tried running that game?
No I've never ran Banjo-Kazooie.
@@Pjii I think you’d be very good at it, take away all the complicated things about tooie and you get kazooie, it’s a very short 100% game compared
@@Practicalinvestments yeah I looked at other 100 runs Kazooie is like an hour and a half Tooie is like 4 hours
I wonder if the character lines are still hilarious in Japanese
Would like to see the record speed run without exploiting glitches
than why don't you search for it? called glitchless
hope you're doing good and just taking a break or something bud
Still no sign of piji
Man, how do you find those glitches like the one from the 13:00 minute? You aré awesome
A tas helps, which is basically a ai that beats the game fast as possible
He didn’t. Someone else did, or computer did, he just implemented it into his speed run. Basically took what was found from multitudes of other people and utilized it to his advantage
Rlly amazinggg!!!
Great job
Sucks my n64 busted up can't play this game anymore
You can always emulate your own games
Excelente
Long time no see!
is there any reason why you did a save and quit at 10:45 but reset at 15:38?
whats the difference for the run?
The game auto saves after each loading zone and during some parts of some cutscenes.
The S&Q at 10:45 is required to save and keep the progress of everything I did in the Fuel Depot at that point. If I just reset there nothing from in that room would have been saved to the file.
At 15:38 the game auto saved during the cutscene around 1.2 seconds after the screen freeze. So since the game saved there a reset can be done. But this reset is also REQUIRED as part of setting up the DCW glitch (► pastebin.com/Cw5YQWzi).
@@Pjii neat, makes sense.
thanks for the reply
Couldn’t banjo and kazooy blow up the crazy castle by mouth
What the hell did I watch at the 16 minute mark
@15:27 wtf. lol
the resolution makes it looks closer to gex 2
was eine qualli
como se hace el speedrun
Nice
Are you planning on getting a new WR with the new route
Give it a few years for the new new new new new new route.
They made note collecting way too easy on this game didnt they
why they playing football with a bag instead grundilas head at the end? loool
Japanese release changed to a bag due to their strict culture rules about disrespecting the dead (disembodied head)
How come when he faced klungo the first time he became invisible?? That doesn't happen until the second time you face him.
In the original N64 versions of the game Klungo's potions are randomized. You still get just 1 of each color per playthrough but which Klungo fight a specific color appears in is random. The Xbox versions are not random and have a set pattern of red (Klungo 1) > green (Klungo 2) > blue (Klungo 3). I always suspected the change was because of the added boss fight leaderboards on Xbox.
wtf how did you researched these bugs lol
If the clockwork egg wasn't necessary for the final boss this run would be even shorter. WAY shorter. Would you even need to go into Mayhem Temple at all?
you need first person shooting so no
Is that tower of terror glitch legal? This seems like it should be categorized as a NG+ any% run.
Is you getting the 1/3 answers in the Hag 1 Boss fight wrong RNG or are you able to get a guaranteed wrong answer? Might be a stupid question, but even more mind-blowing and perfect if not.
You just mash the B button there to always get the questions wrong. If you were to chance it by mashing A instead sometimes you'd answer correctly and get extra text, which would waste time.
The penalty for failing is a faster rotation. In a normal playthrough that would give you a hard time but here it's very useful.
Is there a reason why you have to exit the last world before fighting Hag 1 ?
You need clockwork eggs to beat her
@@alexpurol6810 ooh ok thanks
Were the pixels always that bad or did it just look way better on the TV?
It was always like this on n64 I’m pretty sure
Looks better on a CRT.
u know u can jump ovr the fence?
Did you use some command to skip the movie?
The B button can skip cutscenes; not all cutscenes can be skipped. L + R + B can skip a lot of text boxes; not all text boxes can be skipped. Some console resets are used (after the game autosaves) to save time.
???
What's happening at 12:45 ?
In Pine Grove, before I go into WitchyWorld, everything starting from when I enter and exit the warp silo is part of a setup for a trick called a Bitclip. Bitclips are extremely precise, with the clipping point being around 0.00001 units on TWO coordinates. For reference, in one frame of walking without lag Banjo moves 16.6 units. Since Bitclips are so precise we use normalized movement to prevent any human error. Normalized movement is movement that always moves you the exact amount of frames each time you do the movement, so long as the frame rate is also the same at each step. The odd movement you see from the silo exit to when I clip under the ground is all precisely calculated and has ZERO room for error. If one single frame is off within the setup then the clip won't work. Once I've clipped under the ground I then have a two frame window of being able to get back inbounds. There's a second Bitclip later in the run as well with its own setup.
@@Pjii impressive! Awesome run 👍
I forgot, in japonese version have this censure.
TAS?
Nope.
@@Pjii 😦
was the game always so pixelated?
the first wasn't like that
The one person who disliked means there trash
I'm not a speedrun nerd and that but, doesn't that count as "cheating"?
You already had another save file, so technically in order to make this speedrun possible you had to beat the game first
The rules of what make a speedrun legit are totally arbitrary and usually up to community vote if controversial
the important thing is that all speedrunners use the same methods. No matter how broken a glitch is if every speedrunner does it the competition is still fair
