Yes the Adminitrative department closes at 5pm but the consular and immigration section closes for applicants at 1pm. If you check the immigration website, it says they close at 1pm.

My dear, it is same frustrating situation over here in the United States. I tried to renew my passport and it was a hell going back and forth and same nonsense about closed at 1pm, and no waiting area to at least stay and wait. 😓😓 Anyway hope things works out so you all can visit motherland. 😘

Been there 4 times i loved it but its so hot and humid
I received my visa from Washington DC where they officially come from I paid for it and I got it the next day by FedEx
And I live in Vegas
