Hey this one was pretty fun to do! :D It's not the usual stuff I do, but I thought it'd be cool to start doing lost levels too!

I honestly expected a twist, but no just a wholesome level.
I think it might be a representation of Russia (which as we all know is very cold), as it’s implied in the other PvZ Video the family that died was from Russia.
Or maybe I’m just looking into it and it’s just a cool and accurate recreation of a PvZ lost level, both are cool.

I actually thought that this video would get a little more creepy as it went on, but instead it's just some regular nice gameplay.
Usually NeonPlantChris's storytelling of the scary version involves abnormal sudden temperature drops, and eventually making the computer user dying of hypothermia. In my scary version, the temperature drops are caused by an old friend of the user whom he missed the most after dying of hypothermia 3 years ago from the story's setting.
@@StefanBarsanalina I remember that there was a sequel to There's More to Ice Level narrated by the same guy and the protagonist in this one doesn't die this time, though there's a reference to the og creepypasta protagonist's death at the end.

@@StefanBarsanalina That sounds really cheesy and corny no offense. Like, oh theres an ice level in the game, and some ghost that died to hypothermia haunted the game, which somehow makes the player’s real enviroment very cold and kills them. Also, if the ghost is a missed friend, why would they kill the player?

The wind sounds make it sound really ominous, but this being an actual level is pretty awesome too
Fun fact: the ice level here in pvz is actually from an april fools build of a pvz demo, where the player would have to play in a stock image of antarctica and no sun would fall due to the level being too "cold" to ever produce sun like in the night time levels, some zombies are seen already on the lawn but frozen, so yeah, thats the ice level, its pretty cool to see it again.

@@PLANDerLinde99it doesn't! in the base game at least. since the level was just meant to be an april fools joke i assume the assets for it were removed soon after. there was never any gameplay since you'd get no sun and the zombies already there were frozen. there is actually video footage of the ice level on youtube somewhere, i think! a dev was showing off some early builds and that one was included :P

I’d honestly love if you did more casual videos like this. No major spooky things, just a cool interpretation on some unused or lost media.
I love how this keeps the same energy as a “lost media” post, while also deviating from corrupt horror into a more fun “What If…?” video, where unused / scrapped concepts are revived and made real through these videos.
I also love how it’s not just a copy-paste of a regular level, it actually has its own set of gimmicks, such as only being able to work with one sunflower, having a set amount of starting sun and even having the Zombie Yeti appear as a sort of “Special Flag Zombie / mascot of the level.
Also the music is just a perfect touch! 👌👌

Even being a lost level, that was genuinely cool and somewhat creepy.
Ever since the "DeadPlants" remake video you made, I've always imagined that certain moments in PvZ can be somewhat "war-like" scenarios.
Such as this one. I know there's no creepypasta tied into it and that it's just a lost level, it still makes me think of some scenario where the Sunflower is the last ray of hope in a horrible blizzard and the plants are trying to keep it alive against the hordes of Zombies and Yeti Zombies.
Either that, or this is a tale of how the people old killed off the Yeti race. It's strange that the gems (the "treasures" or "benefits") dropped after killing a Yeti are uncollectable Maybe it's because they're not really there. It's an illusion. Something that these people (the plants) didn't realize until it was too late.
*What makes this even stranger is even one little moment at **3:14** where the player puts down a cherry bomb and one of the Yeti Zombies turns around to chomp on it before it explodes. Almost like they're alive and trying to stop the Cherry Bomb from exploding, which they could not.*
I'm most likely looking too deep into this, but it's still an interesting and creepy video! :D
Wait, the Yeti zombie turning around to eat the cherry bomb is really strange tho, not even in plants vs zombies 2 this happens

This is definitely the best take on the ice level. The theme always caught my attention, nice to see someone actually made something about it
But i remember that the original version had some frozen zombie statues on it, so an idea that could work is that those statues appear at the start of the level and/or every snow fog and could be defrozen by using fire plants.
I don't remember any frozen statues and (apart from the torchwood, jalapeno) there are no "fire plants", can you send me a video, please?

Gotta say, your creepypasta videos are cool and all, but I really wanna see more of this. I LOVE seeing concepts of restored cut content for games such as this like Banjo-Kazooie’s Stop n’ Swop for example
This brings more life to the ice level and makes me wish the level wasn’t cancelled, good job with it!

some tips for next time you play:
1. You probably should start placing down your wallnuts from the very beginning next time, they take a long time to recharge, so you should get them set up.
2. You should make better use of your chompers, putting them behind wallnuts allows them to fully eat a zombie without being hurt, and as an insta-kill for most zombies, they can be really good if used correctly.
3. I get why in the seconds row you put ice shooters, but I don't get why you put them in your first line aswell, the ice effect can't stack and it would've been better to put more repeaters, or more cost efficient to just put regular pea shooters.
I hope you take all of this into account next time you play the game, as it can help make your games much simpler while also looking good.
Could easily pass off as official, really high quality and soundtrack has the pvz ost feel, really fitting.
It is nearby impossible for vibingleaf to make something of low quality, seriously dude, you're goated, keep up the good work!

this really scratches that itch you get when learning about cut levels, the idea of every wave starting out completely blocked by a snow storm is really stressful. really fun interpretation of that broken mni-game great job

Yo, this is absolutely amazing! This genuinely has more soul and thought put into it than anything EA's made for the series in the past 7 years.

This is a really cool depiction of the Ice Level, the gimmick is unique but not too unbalanced, and I like the detail of the storm ending once you beat the Mini Game. But even without a twist, this gives me creepy vibes
If we view this as if it was real life, it brings up several questions
1: How did Brian come across the Ice Level?
2: How is his version of the Ice Level functioning properly?
3: Why was the level scrapped in the final game if it was functional and seemingly finished?
I doubt we will get answers but it's fun to think about, I'd like some more non-horror but uncanny videos from you, they're a nice change of pace
The Ice Level was an April Fools joke made for betatesters in 2008. There was a stock image of an iceberg (?) and zombies were frozen. Some plants were pre-selected, but the sun wasn't falling. The remains of this level are on a limbo page, but there isn't anything from it, except for plants. You can only plant one Wall-Nut and around 30 seconds after the load of the level, there is a game over sound. Still kinda lame that it wasn't implemented, but without it, there wouldn't be a Yeti Zombie, beacuse in the opinion section, betatesters were typing ex.: watch out for Santa Zombie or how to feed Yeti Zombie or something.

I like this concept of seasons affecting the level, the lack of sun coming down because of the clouds and the blinding white snow makes it amazing.

man, i remember that when i was a kid i played a version of pvz with new plants and a snow level and this gamplay is the most accurate version of the level i remember playing.
i just leaved a comment in a fan made song for the snow level that im saying and after watching this video it feels like 2 gifts of the world, thanks for doing this video!!

Beta tester of the level here.
I never expected this to become public stuff, but oh well its not important.
Anyways i played a more finished version of this level and it was kinda bad.
The reason why its un-used was due to low playtesting and ALOT of it was rushed.
Either way it had some original and good ideas.
The level would start with the letters from the zombies saying : "hello we made aice machinez for winterz zeazon, we want frosted brainz
-sincerely the zombie"
Then the level would play out as usual however there were a few other stuff added:
I reviewed the mobile version (this level was scrapped in PC and was supposed to be a mobile only level) and along with it was a "frostbite meter" where if you touched one of the plants it would show how much it freezed, if the meter was full the plant would stop working, turn all white and the durability/health would lower, to prevent this you either needed the pepper plant, cherry plant or that fire word plant (i dont play the game for a while so I may forget the names) however the ice peashooter wouldnt be affected by frostbite.
When your screen would blind off it would make the frostbite meter go 2 times fast so trust me it was harder then you think.
It didnt include much but in the concept board in the studio there was also a miniboss planned (got removed along the PC version) which was a giant yeti that could roar to scare off the plants.
Either way it was great ideas with poor execution. I dont have anything else to say so bye i guess
pretty cool that you turned the devs' april fools level into a pretty fun one! i especially really love the new music added with it. fits with the official soundtrack very well.

I thought I’ve experienced the scary bits but this is the masterpiece!
To be honest, a different change of pace, but one I definitely like! I was not expecting to see an interesting challenge for a level that would be neat to see in the official game.

This was just an all-around fun video. It gives an interesting Plants Vs. Zombies level concept and makes it look real and playable as well! I also love the implement of the Yeti Zombies (Especially since they only appear legit in, as far as I remember, 4-10 on your second playthrough.) and they also don't seem to walk away after a certain amount of damage is taken.

I think would have cool if you made it so when the screen goes white you could have made it so the plants and zombies all get the chill effect and or/get frozen but still really cool!

Fairly normal vibing leaf video surprisingly enough when he mostly does horror content but anyway this is a pretty good little video based on the unfinished pvz minigame shown in the video.
Another banger as always 🔥 I love PVZ.
This looks like it would be a fun level. Only thing it's missing is the gimmic from the creepypasta version where Peashooters would turn into Snowpeas and most other plants (except ice plants) freeze like they do in the second game in Frostbite Caves. You could also add the Peashooter gimmic to Melon-Pults, turning them into Winter-Melons.

Honestly, I like how this works. You start with 2000 sun because you only have one sunflower on the lawn and no more of that plant to use. Appearently you had to be as conserving with your sun as possible. 4 flags, and a random yeti appears in each huge wave. Honestly a great concept!

Seems like this Ice Level is colder than the whole Frostbite Caves world in pvz2. No sun is dropping from the sky, and every flag the whole screen is covered in snow for a few seconds! Yetis spawning is a *cool* detail too, pun intended.

This one's great. The atmosphere- including that baller (original, it would seem) backing track- is great, and it always seems on the very edge of horror without ever becoming scary. It's just a lost piece of PvZ lore that's been brought back to life in most of its glory, and it's a bit odd and unpolished, but it's still so cool.
I like the idea of this minigames mechanic being whiteouts
