I just recently found One Ok Rock…they are frickin AMAZING…I was never a major rock fan but who would’ve known One Ok Rock would flip me…da first song I heard was Take What You Want and I was sold…da way Taka sings with so much passion is crazy…he just draws you in…question is why are they so underrated 🤔
i've seen them a few times live. their concerts REALLY ARE that energetic the whole way through. AND when it's over, the adrenaline lasts for a long, long time. they are my favorite band to see live.
They actually didn’t like this song on the album because it was too pop, but the producer wanted to so they did, that’s why Taka said we are going to do a pop song and proceeded to just have fun with it😂
btw, you should reaction to “deeper deeper” but, Yokohama stadium version, and I recommend nothing helps, yokohama stadium version, Ending story orchestra, and I’d like see a reaction to “let’s take it someday “ yokohama stadium version
If it's true what I read in some comments a few years ago OOR didn't really like the original version of this song. They were more or less pushed by their label to do it. And I think the reception by their hardcore fans wasn't that good either. But the band made the best out of the material and created this version (maybe even as a middle finger to their label). Which became a crowd pleaser as you can see here.
This song is from XXV35, their first album produced in the US. So, if I remember correctly, Taka/the band was told that rock was not really a thing in America so if they want to make it they need to be more pop-ish. Most likely the reason why Ambitions and Eye of the storm are a very pop type of rock.
