In JP era, the eletric fence can take 6 hits from a t-rex, the heavy fence can take the same number of hits, the only diference is that the eletric fence when do not have power can take only 3 hits from a t-rex. The small fence can take only 2 hits, is very weak.
Much as I love the game, the fences are truely a frustrating thing to damn well place sometimes :/ I mean if you wanna just make an oval / square shape and done sure....wanna make it natural and follow contours? Then you are spending an hour, MINIMUM on JUST a couple of sections of fences XD. Then you have the "snapping" problem, sometimes they like to snap strait into a direction, othertimes "NOPE you arn't makeing this perfect strait line to the next one, I DON'T WANNA! V_V "
My absolute biggest annoyance with this game is the fences!!! Sorry but there should be no way a dilophosaurus or a velociraptor should not be able to break out with a electrified heavy concrete wall. Small dinosaurs should not be able to break out of the strongest fences of game period!! only bigger Dino’s should be able to break out because there much stronger and bigger. A tiny raptor should not be able to get through a fence that’s triple the size of what they are it does not make sense and I probably will never understand it😂
Agreed it pisses me off this shouldn’t even be a big deal. I would even understand if there is a power outage and they break out, or if they break out after an hour or two of gameplay. But not even they will break out after a minute sometimes, especially if they arent a big dinosaur. i feel like they should patch this. I always end up stop playing the game because i get tired of chasing dinos that escape and fixing broken fences its dumb.
JWE 2 is announced to release soon. I hope they improve the fences. I think it's stupid that a raptor can break through even the light fence with such ease, even if it is for balance's sake. I also hope they follow the Sims and have templates for enclosures and roads; like give us options to make rectangular or circular shapes automatically so we can design a nice enclosure or pathways (and ultimately a nice-looking park) FAST...

They should’ve made it were Small Dinos can only damage Chain Link an Downed Electric Fence easily. Whereas they can’t damage the Heavy Steel or Concrete.
so if anyone are having problem with challenge mode because of fences heres a tip, if any dinosaur has a confort of 70% they will never try to break out, with means you not have to get any tipe of strong fence, like spinosaur, he will never hit the fence because of storms, but small carnivores will hit wen have storms, and herbivores never will hit the fences if you dont mess them up(like dont getting their social right population etc).
and by the way, i find that electrified fences are useless, most of them, the unique not useless fence is the concrete electrified, but theres a feature in the electrified fences, if a carnivore is with their confort low and then get to normal, they will not care and still hit the fence, but if is electrified they have a "memory reset" and then as soon as they get good confort they will stop hiting the fence, why i find it uselles? well i dont put small carnivores or very righ confort carnivores on my park until i have concrete, so i dont use the two other electrified fences.

hey I was just makin a Raptor enclosure, and I noticed that you can sometimes double the fences side by side instead of curved by making the 2nd segment smaller. It doesn't work everytime, but I was able to get to work more times then not
by more times then not I mean I was able to get it doubled side by side instead of curved 6 segments in a row, I have problems when it comes to connecting to the corner, but I suspect if ya don't make a corner fence right away you might be able to do nearly the whole fence like this.

i made a star wars themed park of all the different planets in star wars on JWE. Maybe you could do the same, like a sand desert enclosure for tatooine or a grassy field for nabu!
Heavy electrified steel works well enough. They can break it eventually but a lot better than just heavy. Unless you get frequent storms, then just go concrete

How you got thoose concret fences, I got it on isla pena too, but in sandbox I cant use items that need to be researched.
