Those coyote calls loop about every 6 seconds, then hunters overdo it when animals are close. The loud yelling and open cover doesn't help either. They probably showered with Irish Spring soap before putting on their favorite cologne that morning. Then maybe snack on some peanut butter crackers and french fries before heading out.

Looks like that one he missed from 300+, wind was blowing left, vapor trail missed left, at 300, a 10 mile an hour or so wind will push that slug a long ways. I will have to get big Al down here in Southern Utah in his home state shooting them with me. Last year had a one day trip that we saw 18, called in 10, killed five.

I wasn't sure if you hit it at first... but I kept watching and saw his tail as he was spinning around in circles before he dropped. Congrats... you got him on the run 🏃‍♂️.

The purpose of hunting coyotes is to keep their numbers down. It also keeps them from killing farmers cattle too, which is the main reason. And you get a little cash when you take the fur in to the fur buyer. They also make gloves, jackets, boots and hats out of the fur.

Two things. I believe Big Al need to call in those Coyotes A LOT CLOSER and when he gets home have his eyewear adjusted. Very nice fella, but just a horrible shooter. For every one Coyote he hit, he miss at least 5-7 more. If those Hornaby rounds were three seeds, Big Al would surely grow a forest all by himself. Bet there are dozens of missed Hornaby rounds planted in the ground. C'mon Big Al! We don't want to watch an episode of Fur Takers just to see and hear you fire off your rifle and not drag anything back! I think when you let the coyotes get within 5-10 yards of the fox call you stand a better chance at baggin' a prize before the stand or episode ends.

Carry some bags of sand in the bed of the truck. If you get stuck ... Don't have a heart attack pushing the truck!!!! Instead, cut a bag of sand open pour some sand around all 4 tires for traction and trail some sand up front in the trail the tires will be gripping. It works like magic ... you will drive right out no problem.
Learned this in the army. It works!!
    GO TRUMP 2020 baby!!

I love watching you guys hunt fox in Alberta! I live in Indianapolis, Indiana ... man would I ever love to be with you guys.
I was a MILITARY POLICEMAN in the army and qualified EXPERT with .45 pistol and M 16 rifle.
I learned a "trick" in MILITARY POLICE FIREARMS TRAINING to keep from missing shots: Use the tip of your finger on the trigger instead of the middle of the first section of your index finger.
Take a minute and look at your 'trigger" finger ... observe the first section of your index or "trigger" finger as you imitate pulling a trigger while observing the first section of your trigger finger.
You will see it's on an angle ...
this angle puts a force on the trigger that pulls weapons, pistols rifles, and shot guns to the side
(right if you're right handed - left if you're left handed)
Now, if you observe the tip of your trigger finger as you
imitate pulling a trigger you will see it moves in a straight line (plane) with your wrist and arm.
      Next time you shoot something
remember this trick, inhale deeply before the shot, exhale slowly while you start squeezing the trigger with the end (tip) of your finger. Don't try to know when the gun is going to fire, because EVERYONE reacts to the concussion (blast) of the gun, by jerking just a little, so instead of "pulling" on the trigger use the tip of your finger and gently "squeeze" the trigger and gradually increase the pressure on the trigger finger while you aim
... let the gun blast take you by surprise ... you'll hit the "bullseye"
(fox) or (coyote) every damn time!
Telling a man how to shoot a gun is like telling a man how to drive ..
that never goes over well; but, let's just say it's a shooting tip and most importantly IT WORKS!!!
