You are the reason I started seriously looking into van life(a van fit my needs & personality better)! Months later now I have a van, and have been getting everything ready to go! Waiting for the snow to melt a bit before I head out for the first time. Just me & my pup venturing into the unknown! I can't wait!

There is a group of women campers that help a workshop where they had participants rent a small U-Haul trainer to practice towing, turning, & backing in a church parking lot. Then connect & disconnect the trailer from the hitch. Then it was a lot easier to learn how to tow a bigger trailer.

As someone who has had cats most of my life I think a kitten was a great choice for you. The kitten will grow up used to your way of life & will love it as long as you are there. Also cats love small spaces. Lots of toys & an area where the kitten can look out. Looks like you've provided all of that. Also a great carrier.😊 Take care. ♥️🐈🌹

I tow a 19’ Scamp fifth wheel with a 2” ball hitch. One trick that has helped me is using a gooseneck hitch helper. Take a long length of pvc or a pool noodle. Slice it on one side lengthwise, so you can loosely slide it over your ball hitch. As you back up to your camper hitch, the end of the camper hitch will touch the upright tube and start to tip it over. That is when you know the camper hitch is centered over the car’s hitch ball. This has really helped me to center my truck as I’m backing up, and gives me a heads-up when I have hit that ‘sweet spot’. They sell these commercially on line, but they could easily be made by a do-it-yourselfer.
Bailey looks to have the makings of a fine camper cat. 🐈‍⬛

I am a full timer that volunteers at visitor centers for state and federal agencies all across the country.
I have all my mail and packages sent to nearby post offices via general delivery. I have had packages delivered from all kinds of companies and delivery services including Amazon and have never had one returned, even in big cities.
You just need to make sure you put in the address of the office you want it delivered to. Address it to your self c/o general delivery.

I do think you should dedicate an entire video to the hooking and unhooking process. I, for one, don't want to tow because it seems so intimidating and hard for someone who is small and has occasional back problems.

The problem with any solar generator is that it's an all in one device, so if part of it stops working the whole thing is generally useless (send it back to the manufacturer and wait for a repair? no thanks). Even if you don't have the technical knowledge, if you have the components installed separately (charge controller, fuse boxes, batteries, wiring...) there's guaranteed to be a camper near you who'd be more than happy to show off their solar knowledge and help out.
Also, anyone who has solar hates generators. Even the quietest ones are obnoxious.

I had three cats that lived in a Jeep for 4 years, and they did amazingly well. Before people ASSUME they were trapped, NO! they had play places and went for walks and play outside.
One has since passed due to age. The other 2 plus a new rescue are now living in a stable home. They still like to go on errands, and short trips.
Lots of folks have pets in vehicles, and yes the majority are well cared for and loved.

I got a mailbox at UPS and they accept and hold my packages, too. It looks like a regular street address. Then when I move on to another state, they will transfer everything there.
Also, I want you to know you are such an inspiration. Starting out on this, getting my rv coach ready, when I get scared, I tell myself, "Robin does this. I can do it!" ❤

Concerning mail from the Post Office- just use the physical address OF THE POST OFFICE and your box number. ( suite # --) . That is how we get packages from Amazon. I always assumed it was so the Amazon drivers could find where the post office was.

Yes, I do the same. The Post Office will give you their physical address without a PO Box as 'General Delivery'.

    I missed you.
I'm into building lithium power packs.
I can build a 1200wh power pack about $1000 total.
    -
I use 302wh raw lithium Iron Phosphate batteries times 4.
This total 1208wh power bundle costs me only $350.
    -
Then I add the rest; is about the came amount of money. (san's solar panels)
    -
I have two of these 1208wh power packs now.
    Use one, charge one.
    -
It's too bad people don't know how to make their own solar power packs.
    Jackery is making a fortune.

You were one of my insensitives to live this lifestyle. I have been on the road for 4 and half yrs. In my 23 ft, class C. I started with 4 senior cats and now have one remaining younger 8 yr old. She gets sick when traveling roads with miles of washes. A full time freind with 3 cats gave me a liquid called, Rescue by Boch. I place 3 drops on her head between her ears, a few hrs before I travel. I use a brush to spread it down to the back of her neck. I was told not to touch with my fingers, as my skin oils will affect its outcome.
This life is th e best thing I have ever done.
I have 5 Jackery solar generators, plus 300 watts of panels. I use the small ones daily to charge my phone and run my 3 interior power sipping fairy light strings. I have had only a few occasions where I went to a campground, due to weather conditions of either, heat, cold or clouds. I vary my camping life from every mode of camping.
In the east, its mostly campgrounds for safety factor. It's also harder to locate a nice free spot where you don't have questionable neighbors. The west is so vast and freeing. I spend winters mostly in Arizona in wide open spaces. Would I do this over? Absolutely, would I change some of my choices? Yes, who wouldn't.
    Always enjoy your videos.

Another way we have discovered to get packages is with Walgreens and CVS. If you know the carrier, Walgreens have locations that you can ship FedEx packages to and CVS have access point locations that accept UPS packages at no cost. We sometimes have our escapees mail sent FedEx. There seems to be a delay with USPS packages out of Houston. Hope this helps

I, too, just got one a few months ago and tried to go the rescue route but it was just so many hoops to jump through I went on Kijiji (in Canada, here -- a lot like Craigslist) and got a total cutie who is also a barn cat. She's full of beans and she and my 16 month old puppy often almost knock me over as they race through the house, getting into mischief. Though I'm not a van-life person (yet), I really enjoy your episodes and was just thinking about you yesterday and thought: wonder if Robin's back yet... and there you were!
