The underground club in London, is Fold been there two weeks ago and the speakers are very refined. Does not tire the ears.

Physics is the same for everyone, there is nothing special to see here.
Funktion One is the shittest PA brand available. Any sound engineer that knows what they're doing immediately gets depressed when they find out they will be having to use it.

@@faraonch I never said anything about power. I'm far more interested in audio quality and accurate reproduction of the source material. Function One makes anything played through it sound like utter shit.

i believe he was speaking in the context of a theatre in which, due to acoustics, it can be difficult to amplify all the instruments without creating blurry images.
to have Evo X in a theatre would be ridiculously detailed and powerful sound reinforcement!

Used to love going Earls Court (Plasa) on Funktion One demo room….shame they don’t really do it nowadays.

No. The Turbosound Aspect range was jointly designed by Lawrence Dickie, Jon Crawley and Danny Cooklin. Danny and Lawrence now work on two companies - Vivid Audio and Blast.
Furthermore, Tony Andrews originally founded Turbosound and designed the Flashlight and Floodlight ranges before the company was sold. He then set up Funktion One.
Also, the Aspect range has the unique dendritic horn design for the mids, which are still one of the best point source innovations to this day.

Just something else. L Acoustics or d&b are highest quality made for the road, programmability and flexibility. Evo X speakers just sound amanzingly real and down to earth. I would love to have them in my Studio as my mains.

L-Acoustics has developed and iterated extraordinary state of the art line array systems.

Those are hi-fi/critical listening speakers and these are PA so rather different use cases

@@Hardishcheese in fairness I’ve got a soundlink revolve that sounds nice and I use an S1 pro as a DJ monitor and it’s fantastic for me doing bar gigs…. But I was always disappointed with the pro rigs I’ve come across in venues. Weirdly it was always not enough mids years ago, with too much bass and harsh top end.
Funktion one are a completely different level however so the OPs comment is pure bait
