I like your explanation very simple.

Thanks for helping make a confusing topic understandable. Can an annuity be purchased inside an pre-tax IRA?
Yes. You can use IRA funds to purchased an annuity. Thanks for watching!
I work for a Catholic Hospital, not municipal, we had a Good Pension but about 15 gr ago the Froze it - whatever it is now, that's what u get, will never grow! Then switched to lesser 401a we already had a 403b retirement plan. I get $1842 p mo. That along w SS. And 403b. Does an Annuity make sense to Delay Soc Sec?

I invested a year ago 200k in a fixed annuity paying an interest rate of 3.5 percent less that a saving
account that is FDIC insured and pays 4.1 percent
At least the person selling your annuity made money!
Rather than a COLA why not have "annuity ladders"? (You are so funny!)
So I have about $300,000 in an annuity……my late husband and I began contributing to it more than 30 years ago. Wish we had not ! I’m 76 and they -Venerable-keep offering me a certain amount per month for the rest of my life.
Let’s say I start taking that amount now-it’s about $2,000 a month-and I die in 3 years-will my beneficiary keep getting that
Amount for 7 years past my death?

Hi Stan … love your “no frills” information stream … I am retired military, so I get a lifetime retirement pension and VA disability plus I will be taking Social Security at age 67. I also have 2 rental homes. … would a SPIA or MYGA be a good product for me or am I set with my income stream? Thank you for your straight forward content 😊
Patricia - please schedule a time to talk to me to discuss your specific situation. Here is a link. www.stantheannuityman.com/book-a-call/

Hey Annuity Man, what does the insurance company invest your money in to pay you back over the life of the annuity?
Bill - companies use high grade corporate bonds in their portfolios.
@@StanTheAnnuityMan Then why not buy the high grade corporate bonds in a Bond fund from a company like Vanguard and skip the annuity?
@@billcarlson1730 You certainly can, although you most likely don't have access to the same investor-grade bonds the insurance companies do. Also, bonds are not guaranteed. The people that purchase SPIAs do so, in part, for peace of mind. They turn them on and they do not have to think about them. The income is coming every month guaranteed. If you would rather actively manage your portfolio, a SPIA isn't a good choice.
@@StanTheAnnuityMan its just sad they wont allow us access to what they have

A single premium immediate annuity is pulled risk think the exact opposite of Life insurance (why don't you save instead of my life insurance?)
Do the Annuity Gods(tm) look up to you just because you are 6’11”, or is it because they are in the underworld with the rest of the Evil Annuity industry. Lol!
Annuities are dead until they can pay at least 6%.
I used the calculator and I was shown 6.7%
David - I assume you used an income calculator. Income payout rates are not interest rates. They are based on your life expectancy. The older you are the higher the percentage the payout will be.
