- For some reason involving the way our mind, consciousness, color perceptors, visual pattern recognition systems and visual motion predictors are connected to our emotions, the beautiful colors of these fractal flame images combined with the gently changing forms of a slowly rotating kaleidoscope is a SOOTHING, CALMING, RELAXING and PLEASANT experience.
I made these kaleidoscope videos for people suffering from PTSD and PARANOIA. A lot of weed and psychedelics users use these SOOTHING and CALMING videos to help them on their trips. These videos are SOOTHING to crying babies and children with autism, as well as older people suffering from Alzheimer's.

This was my inspiration to learn how to make HYPNOTIC KALEIDOSCOPE VIDEOS for POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS. When I showed this to my girlfriend she was ALL-IN for both of us learning how to do it ourselves. I was supposed to be the COMPUTER GUY but I was CLUELESS. My MATH SKILLS suck. I didn't even know how to make a kaleidoscope on a PC. It was like I was being controlled by invisible higher powers that were making all my decisions the STUPIDIST POSSIBLE DECISIONS. I burned through all her money on ANIMATION VCRs & a Kurzweil rack-mounted synthesizer. All I wanted to do was make kaleidoscope videos in 1994.
I HURT her financially in very big way by naively & ignorantly MISMANAGING her money while we were together when all she wanted to do was HELP me make colorful hypnotic kaleidoscope videos like in Shirley MacClaine's "Inner Workout" POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS VHS video. I have PTSD. That video made me CRY with HOPEFULNESS. It was so EMOTIONALLY POWERFUL that I just wanted to learn how to do it myself. All Shirley MacClaine had to say to me, CONFIDENTLY, with EMOTIONAL PASSION & EMPATHY, is that, "You are a CREATIVE BEING. You can DO ANYTHING CREATIVE!" while BLOWING MY MIND WITH COLORFUL KALEIDOSCOPES.
I recently YELLED at my 80-year-old mom who is the most GENTLE, KIND, VULNERABLE & EMPATHETIC person in the world during an argument when I thought she was being UNFAIR to me by second-guessing my decisions on what pile of 2-year-old unread & previously read medical records of hers to throw away. I handle all the bills. All the medical records are online. I can throw away doctor's After Visit Summaries after they have been read & sitting in a box untouched for over 2 years. I chose NOT to file them away in file cabinets. The paper clutter does her no good. I was just trying to HELP.
She got really ANGRY at me & gave me a really hard time for throwing all those papers away. I felt UNFAIRLY VICTIMIZED like a little kid being UNJUSTLY PUNISHED. My FEELINGS GOT HURT & I suddenly felt SUPER THREATENED & I immediately went into FIGHT or FLIGHT like a 58-year-old PSYCHO. She said ANGRILY at me, demanding, "Give me those papers!" while referring to the paperwork in the recycle bin. I SHOUTED, at the TOP of my lungs, "No! I will not!"
I said it so loud that I'm sure the neighbors next door & across the street could hear me. It was a SUPER DEFENSIVE OVERREACTION by a HYPERSENSITIVE PERSON caused by my brain's overactive FIGHT, FLIGHT & PARALYSIS center called the AMYGDALA. My AMYGDALA learned that HARMFUL dysfunctional behavior UNCONSCIOUSLY from my Dad. He had PTSD & raised his voice a lot. That is how my father emphasized his strong feelings in our house.
It is an ABUSIVE COERCIVE CONTROLLING behavior to SHOUT at somebody, let alone the most important person in your life who you love more than anybody else in the world & who you care for & respect with all your heart. I know that's DISRESPECTFUL & HURTFUL & TRAUMATIC for her. I know I'm being EVIL & that it is WRONG while I am doing it. I can FEEL the DAMAGE being DONE to BOTH of US WHILE I DO IT, but I still do it because I'm NOT IN CONTROL. I'm just WATCHING like a CONSCIENCE. It is CRUEL & SADISTIC & HARMFUL. I'm ashamed of that behavior in myself. I don't like the FACT that I have the CAPACITY to do SEVERE EMOTIONAL HARM to my loved ones when I'm OUT-of-CONTROL.

I've watched most of your 2 hour videos and they are all beautiful. I think both the art and the tech is awesome (as in filled with awe, it boggles the mind) Some of the segments seem to be like just an assignment and they're pretty, but sometimes the colors clash and sometimes you can't NOT see the blades spin, which is pretty itself because you can watch how it works. But the person who did the last 30 minutes or so of this one is a real artist!!! It was like a reward for not falling asleep...lol... The way the colors complemented and blended together was exquisite. With the way the colors were combined I even loved the colors I don't usually care for. You could tell this person loved what they were doing and while the patterns were basically the same for each segment, this person added SO much more to them. And you didn't notice the blades at all unless you really looked for them. Thank you for all the work to make these videos. They help me sleep and I like that they all have the same music, very hypnotic. Please pass on my heartfelt compliments to all the artists and let whoever did the last one on here know you could definitely tell how much love and work they put into it. 💖 🇨🇱

I must express the want to have higher quality than 1080p, although I might still be a niche at this point. I run 1440p and many are making the move to 4k on their computers. I understand that this would take significant processing power as well as HD space, and might not serve a large market for several years. Something to consider though, I would pay a premium for such content.

I very much appreciate your question about FREE WILL and BENEVOLENT HIGHER POWERS. I get back to brain science with the discussion of why evil exists in the world in the face of higher powers with causality control.

The way I did the kaleidoscopes was by using a Flash program that does kaleidoscopes then adding some Adobe Air code to load images from the local hard drive and write out each frame to the local hard drive. So I run this Adobe Air program (Flash code with Air extensions) and it crunches away recording still frames to a big hard drive. Then I run a Photoshop batch script to Auto Contrast every frame so it is the optimum contrast. For version 1.2 and 1.3, that's it. Then I import the still frame sequence into Adobe Premiere and render out to a video. For version 1.4 above, I also ran a Photoshop batch that did an Oil Paint filter on every frame, before importing into Premiere and rending the video.
