Playing with the 1974 Gottlieb Duotron / Magnatron pinball in the Robothut.

I have the 2 player version from 1974. By 1974 they had increased the size and power to the flippers and added auto ball loading as compared to the 1961 Egg Head machine. They still were all electromechanical and still had the chimes and bells that make a pinball machine a true classic.

It is a fun machine to play. The Magnatron can be more fun since you can have 4 players. But the price was right and the repair work was extensive but not hard.

Yes they are insane from a wiring standpoint, the motor driven sequencers and realys are like noting you have ever seen unless you work on pinball machines. Crazy fun.

I played that as a teen, fun machine! Didn't realize how new it was at the time.

Being the end of the line for all mechanical machines it probably seemed older, there would have been some florescent display machines out at the same time most likely.

Lots of cool features on that game. My quarter is on the table. I have next ! The design of the robot is interesting. Looks like westworld without the synthetic skin

Yes buying mint vintage games can be a bit pricey, so if you have the skills buy a junker and fix them up for sure.

I had this idea last night get a drone with a camera 🎥 and fly it around the robot hut stopping and looking at robots 🤖!!
