    As always, great work brother.
We were down in Rodanthe for a week.
There is a small wreck about a mile south of the pier.
Caught loads and loads of short sea bass, grunts, and some small sheep. All off the paddle board

      Wow!!
I wish we had same ocean conditions down here as well
I got two paddle boards and so many fishing ideas but ocean seems to be always too rough for paddle boarding down here 😔

The key is to get the board through the surf. Secondly, my board has bungee straps, i strap my rod to it, and also use a small "cable clamp" snapped to the rod and bungee. Thirdly-I used a bag of fish bites and 1/4 oz jig heads. Fourth, I use a kayak paddle when SUP paddleboard fishing. I sit on the board and paddle like a yak. very fast. A small anchor would be perfect for this wreck. You can do it man!

Great action, good catches! You might want to loosen your drag a good bit when sitting the rods in the holders. I've had a few overslots that hit my rods in the surf like that when I wasn't paying attention and either straightened the hook out or broke the rig off. I ended up changing the reels on my sand spike rods to baitrunners so I could set a light strike drag for the initial hit like that. I'll be down in a month, maybe I'll see you out there! Tight lines buddy!

I'm so envious that you get to fish OBX all the time. I go every year for a week to fish. Going to Rode the this year in September for red drum & sharks. That was the most I ever saw a rod bend & A rod holder give from a bite. Great few hrs of fishing.

@@borntofishouterbanks6764 I'm staying on the beach in Rodanthe all this week. Surf has been super rough & we haven't caught anything. Going out on a charter boat this afternoon. Wish me luck.
