I have visited Ghana 3 times in 2016 for a total of 2 months. I have leased a house, registered a business, imported a car, and achieved Residency in Ghana. So there should be no doubt that I am serious about engaging Ghana. I have also interacted with the AAAG and Ms Saiw was very helpful to me. But what I did find was that the organization was founded to assist Ghana Diaspora, which I am not. I am Slave Diaspora. I would love to be a part of an organization whose express purpose of assisting African Americans not of the Ghana Diaspora with repatriation. In my efforts I have found that the best official status available if one is not married to a Ghanaian is Residency which requires affiliation with a business. I am very excited about my duel existence between Ghana and the US and plan to spend much much more than 2 months in Ghana in 2017. My goal for the new year is 4 months Ghana/8 months US which will find me in Ghana 1 month of every quarter. September is my birthday month and I intend to spend it in Ghana every year for the rest of my life.

2:50 she hit the nail on the head. That's the spirit on Pan Africanism that we will need to get back to where we need to be. All hands on deck type ish

Good information, however, you can not minimize the hurt African Americans feel. It is deep, and it is real. They were born into a country that doesn't care about them. I think, when African Americans finally make it back to Africa, a hug and an apology would go along way to heal African American hearts. We, as Caribbean folks came to America with blinders on. It was always about working hard and getting ahead for us. We did not take the time to reach out to our African American brothers and sisters to say, "Thank you. Thank you for your struggles. Because of the sacrifices you made, we are here." It is time to stop minimizing African Americans'pain. To my African American brothers and sisters, I salute you. I love you. Because of you, I am here. May God bless all of you, and heal your pain.
