- In this video, we'll be comparing laptimes of the Ferrari 458 and the McLaren 650 at the Dubai Autodrome. Both cars are amazing and have superb handling, so it will be interesting to see which one comes out on top! Can the Ferrari 458 challenge the mighty McLaren 650? Let's find out!

I actually thought that the hotter it is outside, the better the tires work. After all they start to 'melt' and become more sticky, producing more traction, no?
As to the difference of 4 seconds per lap, I actually think that it may have something to do with the guy sitting next to you. It can be that in McLaren there was some nervous guy that kept telling you to slow down before every turn.
Also, how many laps do they give you to try? If it's just one, it may also affect your lap time.
Well, I don't know where this myth about temperature is coming from. It's kinda opposite actually. As soon as you can warm tyres to working temp, the colder outside the better. There are many variables in this regard, but in general, yes - the colder the better.
I don't remember especially annoying instructors there, they are nice guys usually. :) They care about cars of course, but let you have fun.
I did about 8-10 laps both times, I think. Its not enough to go really fast, but fair for comparison.

The McLaren was on road tyres, the Ferrari is on slicks ;)
Honestly I don't remember tires on Mac, it was 3 years ago or so, but I guess it makes sense. :)
