I have watched nearly all of your reaction videos and knew you would love this one as it contains the ice dancing, orchestra and a trio of the best singers in the world. Lara, in a tv interview told a funny story saying that during a rehearsal for this, Aida nodding her head over at Dimaah, said, Hey, if I have to run out for something, he can sing my part, and burst into peals of laughter at herself !! Brought the house down !

Lara is Dimash’s idol and main inspiration since he is a child, he covered many of her songs, and here this was the first time he met her: look how fast he turns to her, even if he has not finished to sing with Aida, and how he is connected to her when he sings with her 😁
She later wrote the lyrics of his song Your Love (Igor and Lara created so many songs together during 10 years).

Great reaction! And we mustn't forget that somehow Dimash managed a duet with a world class classical Soprano, and then with a Queen of contemporary music. Different timbres, different vibrato, different stage presence, and yet he blended with them perfectly. There is another duet from the same concert, this time just with Aida, called Ulisse. If anything I like that one even more than this!
Finally, I continue to recommend Be With Me (the Official Video), because this shows a completely new side of Dimash both vocally and in other areas. Imagine a 5 minute movie with Dimash as James Bond (but cooler) pursuing the girl, dominating a roomful of gangsters, and with a total alpha male swagger. Yet it's still Dimash, and there's a lot of subtle humour as well. I think you'd really like this one! This was a concert to celebrate Igor Krutoy's birthday, and all of the songs presented were his compositions, I think. Lots of stars, lots of glorious music. Dimash also sang Ogni Pietra at this concert, if my memory hasn't broken again. And there is yet another Dimash performance, this time with Aida Garifullina, of the song 'Ulisse.' It's gorgeous. And there's more ice skating, too.
I listen to these songs with enjoyment, but I don't have your talent for expressing what I feel. Music enters your ears and then shines forth in your body language, facial expressions. exclamations of delight - adding to the music's glory.
I have a fondness for classical music, too. I put that fondness to the test some years back by watching an entire production of the Ring Cycle (18 hours!), in German, with subtitles in English. That was an endurance test! I emerged still liking the music. :-)

So beautiful to watch your absolute delight in this performance. It is such a special performance with so many gorgeous elements in it as you say. Lara and Dimash are special together, perfect, the look he gives her makes me want to melt. I don’t like opera but when Dimash is involved he just turns it into something spectacular. I didn’t listen to this for ages because it was opera, then I just couldn’t ignore something with Dimash in it so I decided to listen to it. So glad I did because now I love it 😄💕

Another wonderful reaction. This performance, as well as opera in general always invokes a very emotional response in me. This was a live concert in Moscow for Igor Krutoy's 65th birthday celebration. The whole concert is worth checking out. If you don't already know, Igor Krutoy is the man at the piano who frequently accompanies Dimash. He is a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter, who has composed music for and performed with renowned singers in classical and contemporary music, such as Anna Netrebko, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Aida Garifullina, Andrea Bocelli, Lara Fabian, Alla Pugacheva, Irina Allegrova, and others. As you already know, he ended his retirement after watching one of Dimash's performances so that he could compose music that only someone with Dimash's vocal ability could sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Passione, Ave Maria, Stranger, just to name a few.
You are already familiar with Lara Fabian. Aida Garifullina is a Russian lyric soprano of Tatar origin and in 2013 started performing at the Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg. That same year, she took first place in Plácido Domingo’s world-renowned, prestigious International Opera Singers Competition "Operalia" in Verona. That led to an offer to join the Vienna State Opera, as well as to a contract with well-known British record label, Decca Classics. Since then, Aida Garifullina has been the voice of the Vienna State Opera. She regularly gives recitals in Vienna and London and appears in joint concerts with opera's greatest stars all over the world. Her performance with Dimash of "Ulisse" from the same concert is also incredible.

Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, ....
In my personal opinion, she is even the best.
There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees.
Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register.
So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence:
• she speaks 4 languages fluently (french, italian, english, spanish) and has sung in 12 languages in total
• she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks. She often co-composes the music with the composer.
• she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none
• she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens
A quick background on her and her career:
She is belgian, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia). She was raised in both countries so she speaks both french and italian as native languages.
She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today.
She started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She now lives in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship
She became very famous there and then conquered France in 1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music).
In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary, an epic collection of masterpieces that became classics and were covered by the other singing legends.
But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan.
She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar thru her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years.
She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace" used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera topped the charts for months.
Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban, …
With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there.
Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her.
She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep.
He covered many of her songs (that she performed originally ; she also wrote some of these).

Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy who came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him.
