Kudos to you Vera, for appropriately recognizing this song as Eric Carmen's----especially since whoever posted it on Dimash's channel inappropriately referred to it as a "Celine Dion cover". By music industry standards only the original writer, singer and hit maker of a song can be "covered," not anyone else who performed the song years later, so recognizing Carmen is important as regards this particular song. A number of others have failed to do so.

I like the surprise element of the Singer 2017 performance. Except for checking them out for yourself, don't bother reacting to his shortened performances of this song and others from the show The World's Best, which he ended up quitting after he found that they had lied to him in order to get him to participate.

The 'Singer 2017' version of 'All By Myself' is more focused, tighter. In the concert version you reviewed, Dimash was playful, teasing. He was in full serious performer mode on the Singer TV show. Both are enjoyable, of course. I do recommend that you treat yourself to the Singer version, too.
