This is THE BADDEST pistol/blaster ever! No blaster from Star Wars comes close. This on one side and a lightsaber on the other and that's all you need! All I could find was a pollomer replica and it required milling out the flame suppressor, which I didn't have tools to do it. I really want one that at least fires. According to the fictional blueprints, it fired magnesium pellets that were ignited by the gas flame upon leaving the barrel. It just looks bad ass!
Actually the blueprint was in a Starlog magazine and they got it wrong. Lol It's forgivable though as it was written in the pre internet days when information wasn't readily available. The gun is actually a acetylene torch if you can believe that. fueled with Calcium Carbonate & water then sprayed thru a atomizer and across a glow plug. The reason the flames were green was because they added a chemical to the mix called "Jet Flux" that gave it the green color. The Flux was very corrosive to the metal though.
I just have to get one of these! Wow, the detail is amazing and that LED firing is the icing on the cake! I wonder how difficult it would be to modify it so that a recorded sample of the firing sound gets played when the trigger is pulled? All that would be needed are the internals of a greeting card that has sound effects inside it and then record the SFX into the chip then wire it to the trigger. Very cool gun! I have a wall of resin prop sci-fi weapons, from the B5 PPG to Captain Harlock's Cosmo Dragoon. I'm looking for one more for the wall and I think this might be it. May as well as I'll never find a pistol from Legend of the Galactic Heroes unless I make one. And the De Lamitters from the Lensman are only in the book as there is no Lensman movie except the anime, and it differs far from the book.

I have one of these in machined aluminium that I need to finish and paint.
I do too. The only thing that drives me nuts is having to touch it up all the time
the Philips head screws ruin the look in my opinion.
