Hi, assuming by satellite speakers you mean surround speakers, you have to go to menu->lvl->surr L->increase to +3.0 Same for the surr R Now for the range Menu->spk->surr L set to 6.0M Same for surr R NOTE - Doing so might cause overpowering surrounds in real dolby surround audio. How is bass and sound clarity?Does it give cinematic surround effect when we feed 5.1 content? Some users say rear speaker sound is not upto the mark. Are you satisfied with this ht?
I was hoping someone will ask this. Sit tight. This is going to be long. Speaking about the clarity first, as there are no tweeters, they sound kinda trash right out of the box thb. Setting the voice to UP2 helps cutting off those excessive 120-300hz freqs as factory set by sony. It also helps boost those 6-8khz freqs where it tricks u to believe that "great now the sound is good". But in reality, it cuts of necessary mids. And male voice sounds a bit(just a bit) thin in my opinion. Female voices are great in this option. Also this is where the guitars, hi-hats, snares really shine in music. Voice UP1 doesnot make much of a difference. I work with a professional setup, so I need to hear all those balanced frequencies. Your mileage may vary. In case you dont notice much, up2 should be good enough. Bass , ummm ! I dont like the bass signature of this that much. This is owing to the fact that the driver inside it just doesnot like to move that much at low volumes inspite having a dual ferrite magnet. The bass distorts above vol 25 sub maxed out. Mid bass is punchy. As many speakers in this price range, it lacks sub-bass and the amp will try to add an convoluting layer of mid bass around the frequencies that it doesnot want to produce. Classic HT style. But, the bass is tight and thats the only good thing about it. My logitech z623's 130watt sub performs much better. Finally, the 5.1 sound, yes, the rear speakers lack defination and dont get so loud as they should. But listening to losless dolby is cool enough. I have tried primevideo's 5.1 movies. There the rear lacks a bit. Setting the levels to +3 solves it for me. Provided I am sitting about 1 meters from it. For that I have to set it to about 3 meters in the settings. So, yah provided the correct audio files. Movies can be amazing. I would just prefer the Polk Audio Signa magnifi mini In a similar price range. But go, have a listen to it, you can spot the sound signature. Hope it helped. BUT YOU CAN DEFINITELY THROW A PARTY WITH THIS ONE 600WATTS SEE😁

@@padgettga The bass is a bit recessed, I can understand your concern. Sony should have tuned it better for movies. The bass signature suits best on the acoustic genres, jazz etc. However, the rear speakers are adequate. Out of the box, its crappy; you have to adjust the output levels and the speaker placements in the settings. Then it works like a charm. Out of all the popular streaming services, I found NETFLIX with dolby audio gives the BEST audio quality and IMMERSION. IT WONT FAIL TO AMAZE YOU AT ALL. just make sure your tv/entertainment set top box supports Dolby formats and not 5.1 alone. RUclips/ JIO SET TOP Box supports a max 2.1. So dont stream content through those. Set the bass to max and voice to UP2. Play true DOLBY VISION content through NETFLIX/HOTSTAR:DISNEY + . YOU WILL BE BLOWN AWAY. Also, try to put the rear speakers just beside both of your ears.

However, I would strongly suggest you to go to a store amd listen for yourself. Cause in place of 700rf, there are a lot better systems from yamaha, denon or polk audio
