Dirty Potter Tip: You can also use talc or cornstarch on the gallery to keep your lid from fusing while checking the fit. Just make sure to wash the gallery after bisque firing. ;-) Great information and explained well.

Your videos are excellent. For those of us who don't have callibers, also use rulers directions and measurements for the entire process. For example, what was the inside measurement of the jar. Thanks

How do you center your caliper with you lid when you made your trim line at 6:49?

So, do you fire with the lid on the jar, or with the lid and jar separated? How do you fire the glazed lid without the lid fusing to... whatever it's sitting on?

How do you smooth the base of the lid without trimming? Is that after bisque or so you just run a wet sponge over the greenware once it's a little dryer

what about the wholes you made in the end, on the lid, wouldn't let the piece brake during fireing?

Can you put notches in the gallery with corresponding pegs on the lid to “hold” the lid? Like say with a teapot?

The music is distracting while you are talking, or maybe it's too loud, I don't know, just that I don't like it. One other thing is that the lid should not dry separate from the base as they will dry at different rates and then the lid will NOT FIT. Shame!
