    company wanted more stability. laravel updates their version quickly. every update has breaking changes. some chose to adapt symfony

    Laravel is the slowest framework on the market. I don 't understand why companies choose Laravel as their weapon of choice. Laravel is a PHP-framework in an oldschool-fashioned way. It comes as a heavy tool-box although you just need a little screwdriver. All those components shipped like a Blade, Artisan, Eloquent or Carbon are always there, although you might don 't need them.
    Just use component collections like Symfony or Laminas (Zend Framework) to use only the components you need for your application instead of using a framework with a huge overhead you have to maintain. Laravel had so much bc-breaks in the pasts. Nearly every major update was a bc-break. That 's way too expensive for the most of us.

    Thank you for this video! Just discussed this topic with my colleagues last week. We agreed that if some companies changed Laravel to something custom, it's more about changes at those companies than about 'something wrong' with Laravel
