  • Our prayers are how to talk to God. But when we dial up, do we speak to Jesus, the Father, or the Holy Spirit?
In today’s Ask Pastor Mark, I answer a common question with explaining how we pray to the Father, by the Son, through the Spirit.
And if you have a question you’d like answered, email it to hello@markdriscoll.org today.

Thank you Pastor for clearing up to whom I pray to. It’s comforting I’ve been doing it right all this time, just wanted reassurance. God bless you and your family. I was raised as an seventh day Adventist.

We are told not to go contrary to what was taught by the apostles (Romans 16:17, 18/Acts 20:29-31) not to go beyond scripture (1 Corinthians 4:6) not to teach contrary to the words of Jesus (1 Timothy 6:3, 4) nor go against the testimony which God gave about Jesus. (1 John 5:9-13)
      So, let’s start with God’s testimony and commandment?(Matthew 3:16, 17/John 1:29-34/Mark 9:7/1 John 3:21-23)
      What were Jesus’ words?(John 3:16-21/John 4:25, 26/John 7:16/John 12:44/John 10:33-36/Psalm 82/Matthew 26:63, 64/Mark 3:35/Mark 14:61, 62/Luke 22:66-71/John 18:33-37)
      What did the apostles preach about Jesus? (Matthew 16:13-17/Luke 24:18, 19/John 1: 29-34/John 1:40, 41, 45, 49/John 20:30, 31/Acts 2:22, 30, 36/Acts 3:23-26/Acts 4:8-12, 24-33/Acts 5:30, 31/Acts 7:51-56/Acts 8:5, 12, 35-37/Acts 9:20, 22/Acts 10:36-43/Acts 11:15-18, 20/Acts 13:22-39/Acts 14:15/Acts 16:30, 31/Acts 17:1-7, 23-31/Acts 18:5, 28/Acts 19:4-10/Acts 20:20, 21, 26-31/Acts 22:14-21/Acts 24:12-16, 24, 25/Acts 25:19/Acts 26:6-29/Acts 28:22-31/
      1 Thessalonians 1:9, 10/2 Corinthians 1 :19/Hebrews 3:1-6
Not one of them preached or taught Jesus was God Almighty (YHWH)
As for Isaiah 9:6 (John 10:33-36/Psalm 82) Jesus being called mighty God. Which means Jesus is a king/ruler
Satan the devil is also called a God/god (no capitals in Greek) at 2 Corinthians 4:3, 4 and Jesus stated satan is the ruler of this world (John 12:31/John 14:30/John 16:11/1 John 5:19/Luke 4:6)

This actually helped so much. I find myself with so many questions when beginning to work on my faith. I felt foolish looking for an answer to this because I thought it wasn’t a reasonable question. Whenever I pray, it was hard because I wasn’t completely sure of who I was praying to and how it was getting around. I want to thank you for clearing it up. This will help me a lot, believe it or not, and I’m grateful for that. Thanks for this vid and good job explaining!! ❤️👏

Where does it say in the Bible that you can pray to the Holy spirit? If it doesnt say it in the Bible then its not okay! It does say in the Bible do not mislead Gods Children, do not preach the word of God based on ones own understaanding for he shall burn in the Pit of Fire. Its God Laws much more than rules and tools.
