@@Schrobich Yep Stardust Speedway is Starlight Zone 2.0 and Metallic Madness is Scrap Brain Zone 2.0. The only 2 levels that did not have Sonic 1 counterparts were Quartz Quadrant and Wacky Workbench.

fun fact: the time travel mechanic in sonic cd may or may not have been planned for the original game, and cd being a showcase of what the game wouldve originally been ex: theres still sprites in sth1 that look just like the time travel sparkles and one maybe even for higher speeds, same color and slightly older styled
