      @@Yuan0287W There are earlier endings you can find. Also ways to make the time pass by faster for the normal ending like feeding the fire at your "home" with coal or more special items.

    I initially made a snarky comment about how this game reminded me of the Stanley Parable achievement that makes you not open the game for five years or some such nonsense. But the more I heard you talk about it, and after looking it up on Steam, I think I'm going to buy it because it seems like something I'd really love. So thank you, Joseph the Gaming Lad.

    • @withclass2178
      @withclass2178 10 месяцев назад +4

      Stanley Parable has two of those, there is the achievement Go Outside, where you can't open the game for five years, then in the Ultra Deluxe edition that launched in 2022 there is the Super Go Outside achievement in which you can't open the game for 10 years.

    Not only does it reward and teach patience, it provides a perspective of how fast paced our society has become. We’ve become so accustomed to receiving and wanting everything right here and right now at the snap of a finger, which really makes us feel like life is slipping by so fast and provides only a quick and shallow serotonin shot. Incredible game, absolutely fascinating

    It's been a long time since I checked it out, but if it hasn't changed too much and you like the slower types of games, I'd recommend Haven & Hearth. It's another survival game but the times to do things feel more "realistic" for what you're doing (don't quote me on that since I've never made leather with a tanning rack and all that, but obviously it's not like Minecraft where you can smack a cow and get leather).
    On another note, I'm hoping that at some point I'll see either a Fear & Hunger video or an Ultrakill video to see Joey play a game with every neuron firing every cylinder imaginable in different ways.

You play as Stella, who helps spirits to get ready to move on to the next world while you travel the world with them and discover all kinds of things. It is such an emotional game about coming to terms with saying goodbye and moving on. The graphics are really beautiful too, seriously it makes me super sad nodoby is talking about this game.

    If you haven't played it before, I'd highly recommend Rain World. A couple years back I went in expecting a silly metroidvania, and while it's definitely not a metroidvania, it ended up becoming one of my favorite games. It's very difficult and not for everyone, but the base game alone had such a profound, almost spiritual impact on me for whatever reason. That and the Saint campaign in the DLC is genuinely my favorite experience from any game I've ever played, though you HAVE to save it for last. Again, not for everyone, but if you want to play the most accurate simulator of being at the bottom of the food chain while discovering some of the most insane and well thought out lore I've ever seen, I couldn't recommend it enough

    If you are looking for some unique games the one I would recommend first and foremost is Lisa: The Painful RPG, it is beautiful and terrible and my heart strings have still not recovered years later. Other really good options are Milk Inside a Bag of Milk Inside a Bag of Milk (and it's sequel Milk Outside a Bag of Milk Outside a Bag of Milk), FAITH: The Unholy Trinity and of course the classic Yume Nikki (which I feel like you have probably played already).
    Each of these is their own unique type of game that I would recommend to anyone who likes more unusual yet meaningful experiences, and are all ones that I think about even long after I've played them.

    so another weird, interactive art sort of piece/game is Linger In Shadows. it was released only the PS3, there's no words, and you just kind of have to figure out how to interact with the scene/chapter in order for it to continue. It's very very short, maybe an hour at most, but it's one of the most unique experiences in gaming for sure.

      Also I want to add Journey to this list, it's slightly longer but insanely moving. a game where you're wandering about a wreck of a civilization, discovering its history as you venture towards a mountaintop. it also pretty much doesn't use words, yet tells an amazing story. this one is also on the PS3, but was later ported PS4, windows, and iOS as well, unlike Linger In Shadows.

    The reason why time is IRRELAVENT to the main character is because it is Underground. It has no concept of passing time since it can't see the sky (day/night cycle) or even a time piece. WE as a society is almost dependent on TIME. To live it's life is to Completely change our way of living/thinking. Which for a lot of people is a very hard concept.
    As for it's walking pace. It has NO mission/Task (but to wait), it has no were it has to be and it's completely ALONE. If I was in it's shoes I would be walking just as fast. It has ALL THE UNKNOW TIME IN THE WORLD to do What Ever.
    Just wondering has ANYONE ever tried to NOT EVEN MOVE??? That would be interesting if that alone has a ending. For just waiting and nothing else.
