I agree with the first opinion and disagree with the second. The revival is aimed at a new, younger generation of viewers, indicated by the stretch to 45/60 minutes, 3D graphics, a former kids’ TV host retaining a very young look and a larger-than-life Mr Chips. Stephen Mulhern is a decent host, despite breaking the flow of the show after wrong answers. He has a good sense of humour, he’s lively and has his own catchphrases, and doesn’t try to be a rip off of anyone, unlike Nick Weir who was a second-hand Michael Barrymore. The 3D graphics work out well, and intentionally they’re not meant to be super super detailed. Having the clues in real-life interpretations really make the puzzles come to life, and the theme tune isn’t bad. The elimination round to start the show is harsh, but it’s nice to see the Classic Catchphrase round remain. The new endgame is more of a challenge, although the erratic leaps in prize money take away the climax a bit. Of course I like the original Roy Walker version a lot more - it was faster and catchier - and it will always belong to Mr Catchphrase himself, but the revival is a fresh counterpart for a modern audience.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 No wonder that Catchphrase is a adult and live-action version of Skatoony lol! 😂🤣
Bugsy is the same man from Pointless!
Not a patch on the Roy Walker version, and the new version is worse in my opinion.

@@mclarenguy22 no one can top Roy Walker
Am I the only one who thinks Nick Weir wasn't bad. The series imo hit the shit when Mark Curry took over
Super catchphrase is basicly Took the gold run idea.
