Do you keep your foot on the gas when you are doing clutch control the whole time including when you put the clutch slightly down?
When it's down I don't use the gas. I may use a bit of gas if I need a bit more power like going uphill slowly

17:23 Might be a stupid question but how did you go from 5th to 2nd gear ? Did you go from 5th to 4th and then 2nd or did you go from 5th to 3rd and then 2nd ?

Yes you definitely have to wait for both lanes to be clear, it’s the same on a roundabout, if there are 2 lanes on the roundabout and 2 cars in both lanes are coming towards you then let them both go first and then you can go when it’s safe. 🙃
Good question. You may be waiting too long if you do that. If it's a lorry or other large vehicle in the other lane then I might let it go past first, but it's it's a car or smaller, I would join the dual carriageway if the left lane was clear. Just need to make sure you're steering sharply enough. Also depends on how wide the lanes are. You can make a judgement call

When I'm moving off yes I do.

At 7:35, are you allowed to wait for the car to move instead of overtaking them during the test?
It depends on the situation. Here it didn't look like he was trying to move any time soon

It looks like that at first, but once you get experienced, a lot of it you won't be thinking about. You'll just do it.
@@ZONDOdriving I still have a big problem with road positioning 😭 I drive too close to parked cars and I keep failing to read situations fast enough, so it takes me slower to react at roundabouts etc. scary honestly I got undertook by a car after a roundabout :( (oncoming traffic scares me)
