Hi Hammy Thanks for that...your the coolest Men from Alaska. Nobody shows us the coolest things what dbx can do for us. Greetings from Germany Scotty 👍 😉
Technically, yes. Balancing the signal is advantageous for long cable runs. Short runs within a stereo system need not be balanced. They can be, but not necessary. Thanks for watching!
First things first.... check and make sure your signal path is clean. The crossover unit should be the last device before the amps. That's where I would start.
This is designed to be connected between the preamp and the amp, so, no, it can't be connected directly to speakers. Its output is line level and not speaker wattage.
I'm using 12" subs for the bass (2 each side) and I'm using a set of ElectroVoice Encore 77s as the mains with a pair of Infinity RS-6s in parallel. The sound is pretty good. The bass cabs are powered by a Crown XLS-2500 and the mains are powered by a CARVER M1.0t mkII opt2.
Quarter inch TRS is balanced... Tip/ Ring/ Sleeve... 3 conductors = balanced. if quarter inch is only Tip / Sleeve THEN it is unbalanced. (only 2 conductors)... It depends on the cable used. It supports both in TRS. You would need a TRS to XLR adapter cable for balanced operation. My situation only needs unbalanced as I convert to RCA jacks with adapters.

LOL... well... *IT DOES!!* lol
I like your video
great demo and explanation......liked and sub'd
Thank you very much... stay safe!
Hammy that was a really helpful video thanks. What was the demo track you played?
Oh Goodness... that was something from RUclips's free music section. It's called "My Peeps" Thanks for watching!
Aren't you "destroying" the balanced signal if you use those '1/4" - RCA'-adapters?
Technically, yes. Balancing the signal is advantageous for long cable runs. Short runs within a stereo system need not be balanced. They can be, but not necessary. Thanks for watching!
Hey boss im having issue with dbx crossover. Im having a bit delay in my front of house what should i do
First things first.... check and make sure your signal path is clean. The crossover unit should be the last device before the amps. That's where I would start.
And if connected to passive speakers. And a powered sub...It will be in 2 or 3 way mode? Thanks
A selector switch determines if it is 2 way or 3 way.
So if all I got is 2 Behringer amplified 12inch speakers...The crossover should be in 2 way mode?
@@ari1234. Yes, that would seem correct. Then you will have output for upper frequencies and one for lower frequencies.
Can We Connect Them To Amplifier Speakers?
This is designed to be connected between the preamp and the amp, so, no, it can't be connected directly to speakers. Its output is line level and not speaker wattage.
Great video. Does the use of this crossover deteriorate the sound of my hifi set up? Is this an analog crossover?
There shouldn't be any degradation. Yes, it is analog. It works very well in my setup. It makes tuning frequencies very easy.
@@HammyTechnoid thanks!
So cant be connected to amplified Pa soeakers?
Yes it can, but if speakers are not amplified, then you need an amplifier as well.
What speaker setup..you playing

Its not balance it should be xlr instead of quarter trs
