I tried using that wd40 silicone spray but it dries out and my doors still froze stuck.the best thing that actually works for me is that low temp radiator antifreeze.wipe it around door seals.wont freeze!
100%! I've been doing this for Years!! As I Type this I am Currently in a -50 below zero with windchill blizzard in the Midwest...Zero issues with my windows or doors on Any of my Vehicles today!! Opens smooths no hesitation, no freezing...couldn't say the same for my garage door this morning! Was frozen shut...better believe I broke it free and sprayed that down too!
@@minutemaintenance7385 thanks for the quick reply! Will use straight away, it's -4 centigrade, here in the UK right now and the forecast said it the same for the next 7 days!
@@beatlebrian4404 my mother already cannot use her car in uk.windows wont go up and down and the door cant be opened on the inside so she cannot use it.her driver door can be open from outside but not from inside.these modern cars seem alot worse than older ones.
@@ianpearson8976 I entirely agree with you, I have the same problem only in reverse! I can't get into my driver's door, from the outside but will open from the inside! Incidentally my car is a Ford Fiesta active.
-4 wind chill and my damn door won't open...grrr. used a hair dryer...a big straw made from rubber 😂. Alcohol in a spray bottle. Lost ...help anyone please..it's the lock..1 damn lock on the whole car ffs
I'm so sorry! At this point you're going to need some form of "lock de icer" most gas stations sell them and auto stores if one is in walking distance or can he brought to you! It'll have a tube you can spray outside and then stick into the lock! And THEN you may have to "body check" the door Hockey style because the latch itself that touches the door may be frozen too!! After that...follow the steps in this video to prevent further issues!! Good luck!!
Does it sound/feel like she wants to roll down?!? If so..try rolling it down..while hitting the window around the edges. Might take a little extra...Oomph..depending on how badly frozen it is! If you dont hear the window motor running..could be the window regulator went bad!
@@minutemaintenance7385 Awee thank you for replying well umm the rotor definitely making a sound it’s working I guess by it’s only 3 degrees here in Michigan I’ll be froze too lol I’m sure they will roll down when the sun comes back out in a few days thank you One window did till down this morning but 3 still froze

Can you use the silicone spray, to spray in a door lock?
For Sure! I've Used This Spray On/Inside the Key Port on Door Locks as Well as the Locking Mechanism and Latch Itself!

How often should I apply it?
I only apply once at the beginning of winter! Lasts the whole season in my experience!
